4:06 PM: The Anaheim Ducks acquire forward Michael Sgarbossa from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for defenseman Mat Clark.
Sgarbossa played the bulk of the 2014-15 season with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL and tallied four goals and 19 assists in 40 games. He has played in a total of nine games with the Avalanche over the last three seasons and has recorded one assist.
Clark was selected by the Ducks in the second round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In 45 games with the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL this season, he totaled one goal and five assists. He has played in nine total games at the NHL level.
3:55 PM: The Anaheim Ducks acquire defenseman Korbinian Holzer from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
In parts of three seasons with the Maple Leafs, Holzer has tallied two goals and seven assists. The 26-year-old has played in 34 games with Toronto this season and has registered six assists.
3:37 PM: The Anaheim Ducks acquire defenseman James Wisniewski and a 2015 third-round draft selection from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Rene Bourque, William Karlsson and a 2015 second-round draft pick.
Wisniewski played in Columbus for the last three-plus seasons and has also played for Montreal, the New York Islanders and Chicago. Additionally, he spent two seasons with Anaheim from 2008-10. In 538 career NHL games, he has registered 53 goals and 216 assists for 269 points.
Bourque has played for the Blackhawks, Flames, Canadiens and Ducks over the course of his 10-year career. In 30 games with the Ducks in 2014-15, he tallied two goals and six assists. He cleared waivers on Monday before being traded.
Karlsson was selected by the Ducks in the second round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut earlier this season and tallied two goals and an assist in 18 NHL games with Anaheim.
3:17 PM: The Vancouver Canucks acquire forward Sven Baertschi from the Calgary Flames
in exchange for a second-round draft selection.
Baertschi was the Flames’ first-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. In parts of four seasons with Calgary, he registered eight goals and 20 assists with a minus-5 rating in 66 games.
3:09 PM: The Minnesota Wild acquire forward Chris Stewart from the Buffalo Sabres for a 2017 second-round draft selection.
Stewart began his career with Colorado before being traded to St. Louis during the 2010-11 season. He was traded to Buffalo during the 2013-14 season, and in 66 total games with the Sabres, he totaled 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points.
3:03 PM: The Pittsburgh Penguins acquire defenseman Ben Lovejoy from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenseman Simon Despres.
Love joy spent the first five-plus years of his career with the Penguins before being traded to Anaheim, where he has remained since. In the last three years with the Ducks, Lovejoy has recorded six goals and 33 assists in 150 games.
Despres was selected by the Penguins in the first round of the 2009 NHL Entry draft. In 59 games with the Penguins this season, he has tallied two goals and 15 assists.
2:57 PM: The Montreal Canadiens acquire forward Torrey Mitchell from the Buffalo Sabres.
Mitchell has played for the San Jose Sharks, the Minnesota Wild and the Buffalo Sabres during the course of his seven-year career. In 51 games with the Sabres this season, the Quebec native tallied six goals and seven assists for 13 points.
2:27 PM: The St. Louis Blues acquire forward Olli Jokinen from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a 2016 conditional sixth-round draft pick.
This will be the 10th organization Jokinen has played for during the course of a 17-year career that began with the Los Angeles Kings in 1997-98. In 1,223 total NHL games, Jokinen has registered 320 goals and 427 assists for 747 points.
Jokinen played in 48 games with Nashville this season before being traded to Toronto.
2:22 PM: The Arizona Coyotes acquire goaltending prospect David Leggio from the New York Islanders.
During the 2014-15 season, Leggio, 30, played in 22 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL, compiling a 3.78 goals-against average and an .866 save percentage.
2:18 PM: The Minnesota Wild acquire defenseman Jordan Leopold from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for defenseman Justin Falk and a draft pick.
The veteran defenseman has played for Calgary, St. Louis, Colorado, Buffalo, Florida, Columbus and Pittsburgh during his 12-year career. This season, he played in seven games for St. Louis and 18 games for Columbus.
Falk has played the bulk of his career with the Wild, tallying one goal and 14 assists for 15 points in 121 games.
2:12 PM: The Vancouver Canucks acquire forward Cory Conacher from the New York Islanders in exchange for forward Dustin Jeffrey.
Conacher was traded from Ottawa to Buffalo at last year’s trade deadline and will be playing for his fifth team in the last four years. In 141 career NHL games, he has tallied 19 goals and 39 assists for 58 points and a plus-1 rating. In 22 games this season with Bridgeport of the AHL, Conacher has tallied 22 points in 28 games.
Jeffrey spent six seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization before being traded to Dallas last season. He has spent the 2014-15 season with the Utica Comets of the AHL.
1:40 PM: The Buffalo Sabres acquire goaltender Chad Johnson from the New York Islanders in exchange for goaltender Michal Neuvirth.
Johnson served in a backup role with the Islanders this year after signing a two-year deal with New York during the 2014 offseason. In 19 games with the Islanders this season, he registered a 3.08 goals-against average with a .889 save percentage.
Neuvirth has spent the entirety of his seven-year career with Washington and Buffalo, going 65-60 with a career 2.73 GAA and a .912 save percentage. In 27 starts this season, Neuvirth has gone 6-17 with a 2.99 GAA and a .918 save percentage.
1:38 PM: The Colorado Avalanche acquire forward Freddie Hamilton from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for defenseman Karl Stollery.
Hamilton — brother of Bruins defenseman Dougie Hamilton — was selected by the Sharks in the fifth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He has spent the majority of his time with the Worcester Sharks but played in 12 NHL games with San Jose.
Stollery has played in seven career NHL games as part of the Avalanche organization.
1:32 PM: The Pittsburgh Penguins acquire defenseman Ian Cole from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for defenseman Robert Bortuzzo and a 2016 seventh-round draft selection.
In parts of five seasons with the Blues, Cole, 26, registered nine goals and 22 assists for 31 points in 167 games.
Bortuzzo played in 113 games over parts of four seasons with the Penguins, totaling four goals and 16 assists.
1:20 PM: The New York Islanders acquire forward Tyler Kennedy from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a conditional draft pick.
Kennedy, 28, spent the first six seasons of his NHL career with the Pittsburgh Penguins before moving on to San Jose. In 25 games this season, Kennedy has tallied four goals and five assists with a plus-1 rating.
Kennedy signed a two-year deal with the Sharks in the 2013 offseason that will expire at the conclusion of this season.
1:03 PM: The Detroit Red Wings acquire defenseman Marek Zidlicky from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a 2016 third-round draft selection.
The veteran defenseman has played for the Predators, the Wild and the Devils in the course of his 11-year career and has amassed 82 goals and 308 assists for 390 points in 762 career games.
Zidlicky was selected by the Rangers in the sixth round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
12:51 PM: The San Jose Sharks acquire forward Ben Smith from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Andrew Desjardins.
In 61 games this season, Smith has registered five goals and four assists. During the 2014 offseason, Smith signed a two-year contract extension that expires at the end of the 2015-16 season.
The Blackhawks selected Smith in the sixth round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. In 156 career NHL games, all with Chicago, Smith has tallied 23 goals and 16 assists with a minus-1 rating.
Desjardins is in the final year of a two-year deal and has eight points in 56 games this season. In five seasons with the Sharks, he tallied 15 goals and 33 assists for 48 points in 272 games.
10:56 AM: The St. Louis Blues acquire defenseman Zybanek Michalek and a third-round draft selection from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Maxim Letunov.
In 53 games this season, the veteran defenseman registered two goals and six assists. He is in the final year of a five-year deal signed in 2010-11.
Over the course of his 10-plus-year career, Michalek has totaled 30 goals and 103 assists with 238 penalty minutes in 539 games. Michalek began his career with Minnesota before spending five years with the Coyotes. He then signed a five-year contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins before being re-acquired by Arizona prior to the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season.
Letunov was the Blues' second-round draft selection in 2014.
10:46 AM: The Montreal Canadiens acquire forward Brian Flynn from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a 2016 fifth-round draft selection.
In 54 games this season, Flynn has registered five goals and 12 assists with a minus-3 rating. The 26-year-old right winger has spent parts of three seasons in the NHL (all with the Sabres), totaling 17 goals, 24 assists and 22 penalty minutes in 159 games.
8:51 AM: The Montreal Canadiens acquire defenseman Jeff Petry from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for Montreal’s second-round draft selection in 2015 and a conditional fifth-round draft selection in 2015.
The 27-year-old Petry tallied four goals and 11 assists with 32 penalty minutes in 59 games this season. He was selected by the Oilers in the second round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
In 295 total games with the Oilers, Petry registered 17 goals and 57 assists in about 21 minutes of ice time per night.
2:30 AM: Tampa Bay Lightning acquire defenseman Braydon Coburn from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a first-round draft pick, a third-round draft pick and defenseman Radko Gudas.
The 30-year-old Coburn played in 39 games for the Flyers in 2014-15 and totaled one goal and eight assists. In nine seasons with Philadelphia, he played in 576 games in total.
Gudas, 24, played in 31 games with Tampa in 2014-15 and had two goals and three assists in about 17 minutes of ice time per game. The Lightning selected him in the third round of the 2010 NHL Draft. In 126 NHL games, Gudas totaled seven goals and 25 assists.
2 AM: Boston Bruins acquire forward Brett Connolly from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for their natural second-round draft selection in 2015 and their natural second-round draft selection in 2016.
Connolly, 22, has tallied 12 goals and three assists in 50 games this season, skating primarily on the right wing. In total, Connolly — who was selected by Tampa Bay with the sixth overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft — has tallied 18 goals and 14 assists with 72 penalty minutes in 134 career games with the Lightning.
Connolly signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Lightning during the 2014 offseason and will be a restricted free agent at the end of this season.
