A quick view from practice this morning…there were people missing. JB

Gold:     Murray, Sturm, Lucic, Bergeron, Krejci, Kessel
White:   Shaefer, Savard, Bochenski, Axelsson, Reich, Kobasew
Gray:     Mowers, Hoggan, Nokelainen

John Bishop is the beat writer for He covers the Black & Gold hoping to offer a positive look at the team, not only from the stands and the press box, but also from inside the locker room. A graduate of Boston U. and Northeastern, 'Bish' grew up in Connecticut and moved to the Hub of Hockey in 1993. Since then he has made all four rinks at the Beanpot schools, as well as both Gardens, his icebound homes away from home. Prior to joining the TD Banknorth Garden staff in 2005, Bishop had written for several publications, with his primary focus being college hockey. He coauthored the book Bygone Boston in 2003 and hopes someday to pen a bio of Hobey Baker.
Practice is getting intense...

Coach Julien clearly looked angry this morning and although I could not hear what he was saying on the ice, by his gestures and his volume, it seemed as if he were coaxing more speed and intensity out of the offensive drills the players were working through at Wilmington.

11:28 a.m. It has been alllllll movement this morning, with the players skating up and down the ice in various offensive drills.

11:34 a.m. The drills have switched to some very aggressive and physical battles down in front of the nets and then finishing with a punishing sprint down the ice.

11:43 a.m. Just got a release: Nine players have been assigned to Providence and three have been returned to their junior teams.

Providence bound: Bitz, Curry, DiCasmirro, Hendricks, McQuaid, Pelletier, Rabbit, Jordan Sigalet and Trevelyan.

Juniors bound: Bodnarchuk, Hamill, Marchand.

There are now 34 players in camp (just add Ward and Fernandez to my earlier list).

Official release to come...

3:12 p.m. Ok. That official release is up.

Also, I was looking through my stuff and realized that I have a couple of MP3's to put up for you.
