NEED TO KNOW PHILLY

PHILADELPHIA - The Bruins will have Craig Smith back in the lineup tonight after missing two games from what Bruce Cassidy called a "nagging injury." Smith will rejoin Jake DeBrusk and Erik Haula on the third line and look to get his first point of the season.

Although the Bruins are a few games behind other teams in the league, Cassidy is feeling good after using the time off to the Bruins advantage.
"You can use practice anyway you want, some coaches give players more rest other people will hammer away on details," said Cassidy. "We have been detail oriented the last big break we had this week."
Details will come into play for Jakub Zboril as he is back in the lineup tonight replacing Connor Clifton who is a healthy scratch.
"Zboril will be on the right side, with Mike Reilly to the left. At the end of the day it's go play hockey that's what's in front of Jake," said Cassidy. "If he wants to play on a regular basis on this team he has to hopefully function on both sides."
Trent Frederic is back on the ice but skating in a non contact jersey.
"He's not playing this weekend, we know that much, but Wednesday comes into play if he's full contact Tuesday," said Cassidy. "Until he's in that normal color sweater he's unavailable."

Craig Smith is glad his time away from the ice didn't make a big dent in the season.
"I lucked out a little bit, I didn't miss too many games," said Smith. "I'm excited to jump back in, we have something special; we are building our game each day."
As for the schedule, Smith is keeping a positive outlook. "Sometimes it's hard, but we are just having fun with it."

Linus Ullmark will get the start tonight, with Jeremy Swayman scheduled for Sunday night back home against Calgary.
"They are both going to play," said Cassidy. "It wasn't a half hour decision, they were each going to play one. We decided, 'Hey, Sway has played good at home so, just one of those things.'"
Ullmark is entering Saturday's game with a 3.01 GAA and .903 save percentage through six games.

Opposing View

The Bruins and Flyers met on Oct. 20th in a game that ended in a 6-3 Flyers win. The Flyers have a record of 8-4-3 vs. the Bruins 8-5-0.
Cassidy spoke to the Flyers ability to defend, with skilled players in Ivan Provorov and Justin Braun both having success this season. It will be crucial for the Bruins to put the pressure on early and get good shots off.
"We have to make it hard on their goaltenders tonight by putting it to the top of the crease," said Cassidy.
Martin Jones will get the start in net tonight for the Flyers who recorded his first loss on the season to Dallas on Nov. 13th. He has a .931 save percentage and was in net for the win over the Bruins back in October.
