The Bruins made a roster move this morning, sending Dave Krejci to Providence. From the Official release:
Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has assigned center David Krejci to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Krejci, who is 20 years old and from Sternderk, Czech Republic, was selected in the second round (63rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. This is Krejci’s first season in Providence after spending the previous two years playing for Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
Krejci made his NHL debut on January 30, 2007 when he played three shifts before suffering a concussion in the club’s 7-1 loss in Buffalo. Krejci has played in five games with Boston this season. While with Providence this season, Krejci has scored 19 goals and registered 32 assists in 50 games played.
