BostonBruins.com - On Sunday morning, there were only two Bruins missing from the ice, after Nick Johnson was placed on waivers by the club for purpose of assignment to Providence.
Twenty-one players practiced, but David Krejci and Carl Söderberg were absent. Both were termed "day to day" by Head Coach Claude Julien following the skate.
"To be honest with you, Krech, I think might be better," said Julien.
"With Carl - not sure yet. Because of the injury suffered when he hit a rut the other night, it’s still up in the air as far as the seriousness of it. So we had first deemed it minor; now it’s questionable."
Krejci left Friday's morning skate early in Saskatoon, due to back spasms and did not play against the Winnipeg Jets in the final preseason game. Coach had said it was "nothing serious" and the centerman isn't expected out for too long.
Söderberg scored 26 seconds into Friday's game to get the B's on the board first in the eventual 5-0 shutout of the Jets. He sustained his injury towards the second half of the third period.
With the pair gone from the ice, the lines from practice are below. The Merlot Liners were rotating in Krejci's spot between Milan Lucic and Jarome Iginla.
