Island Time

by Staff Writer / Boston Bruins
The Isles are in the building, and the Bruins are getting ready for their latest do-or-die game.

Here is what we know:
  • Boston’s Tim Thomas will start in goal.

"Timmy is ready to play," said Lewis. "Hannu is available, too. But we’ll go back to Timmy -- he had a couple of strong performances in the victories that we had, particularly the shootouts, and when the game was on the line in the penalty kills, so it’s his time again."

  • As I reported yesterday, assistant captain Glen Murray missed morning skate and will not play.

  • Forward Brandon Bochenski will take Murray’s spot on the top line to start the game.

  • Center Marc Savard did not skate, but will play.

  • Forward Marco Sturm will also play and looks to be recovered from the flu and the high stick.

"It thought (Marco) looked fine," said Lewis. "He kept his shift length short, and I think that was the responsible thing to do. As the game went on, he played more and I think he ended up with 17 or 17 and a half minutes."

  • The Lines from yesterday’s practice will be the same to start the contest tonight:

    Forwards…
    Axelsson - Savard - Bochenski
    Sturm - Bergeron - Kessel
    Reich - Primeau - Donovan
    Mowers - Tenkrat - Chistov - Boyes

Obviously, there will be a decision on the above line later today.

D-men…(this is the most recent game configuration)
    Mara - Chara
    Alberts - Stuart
    Allen - York

    Goalies…
    Thomas, Toivonen

    More to come…
