BOSTON, MA –
On Tuesday, October 25 Bruins forward Nathan Horton
will be making a special delivery of melted TD Garden ice from the 2010 – 11 Stanley Cup winning season to the Simoni Skating Arena in Cambridge, MA (155 Gore St., Cambridge, MA 02141). Horton will pour water on to the ice in order to provide the youth hockey club with the Bruins “Home Ice Advantage.”
The melted ice delivery will kick-off the Bruins “Home Ice Advantage” campaign, which provides every hockey rink throughout New England, over 300 in total, with their very own Gatorade water bottle with TD Garden ice water. At the conclusion of the 2010 -11 Stanley Cup Championship season the TD Garden ice was melted and preserved for this unique opportunity to be shared with the entire New England hockey community.
Rinks will receive their water bottle deliveries in the coming weeks and are encouraged to host their own “Home Ice Advantage” ceremony to help kick off their 2011-2012 season and submit any photos or video from the event to bostonbruins.com.
The 2011-2012 Boston Bruins season is presented by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
