Championship Feeling in the Garden

For those of you who may have missed the rolling rally, you have a shot at celebrating the Red Sox World Series win tomorrow night! John Henry and Tom Werner will bring the Red Sox latest World Series Trophy to the Garden on Thursday night and will drop the first puck.

Might we have a Wally sighting?

Blades or Milan?
Score, fight -- entertain?

Rookie Milan Lucic will join fellow Bruin Aaron Ward at Children's Hospital this afternoon (see picture below).

Ward wanted to make sure that those special kids got some candy too, so he recruited Big Lu to help.

The latter might just be wearing a costume, because Blades the Bear is scheduled to appear to greet the kids, as well.

Talking Masks
It's Halloween and I figured I would talk to the "newest" Bruin about his mask. Jordan Sigalet's mask features a spoked-P, a spoked-B and like Manny Fernandez and Tim Thomas, a ferocious bear.

But his headgear goes even farther.

"I have a picture of Lance Armstrong; he's always been a role model to me because of his cancer battle," said Sigalet (Jordan, as you may know, has fought his own battle against multiple sclerosis).

Flip the helmet over and you see the word "HOPE."

"Hope is the slogan for MS," he said, before pointing to a cryptic set of letters. "Those are my family's initials -- Mom, Dad and my two brothers."

Jordan plans on getting a new one soon, but will stick with a very similar design, although he hopes to incorporate the Bruins shoulder patch into the mix.

Late update, 10:36 p.m.
About this time tomorrow, I am hoping to be writing about a Bruins win.

Until then, however, me and my wife (The General) had another great Halloween at our house. We gave out 15 bags of candy and our new decorations were a hit!

As far as other activities from yesterday and today, word has it that the auction for Childrens Hospital was very successful, and that Aaron Ward and Milan Luci's visit to the kids at Childrens was a bit hit as well -- look for a gallery featuring both tomorrow.

In the meantime, here are today's lines:

White: Axelsson-Savard-Murray
Gold: Sturm-Kessel-Kobasew
Gray: Schaefer-Metropolit-Bochenski
Brick: Lucic, Krejci, Thornton and Reich
D-men: Allen, Alberts, Chara, Ference, Stuart, Ward, Wideman
Goal: Sigalet, Thomas

We have a very busy day tomorrow, and I'll have plenty for you after morning skate!

Lucic and Ward go treating!
