Miscellaneous: Schaller has plenty of New England ties. The New Hampshire native played three seasons for the New England Jr. Huskies of the EJHL before attending Providence College, where he suited up for the Friars all four years. He played one season with current Bruins forward Noel Acciari.

Schaller signed with Buffalo as an undrafted free agent in April 2013. He made his NHL debut for the Sabres in 2014-15, but has played the majority of the last three seasons for their AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans, for whom he has tallied 38 goals and 49 assists in 174 games.

Last season, Schaller tallied a goal and two assists in 17 games for Buffalo.
