Miscellaneous: Nash has played five seasons in the National Hockey League, all with the Carolina Hurricanes. The 27-year-old debuted in 2011-12 and has tallied three straight 20-point seasons.
Last season, Nash, a former first-round draft pick, scored nine goals to go along with 13 assists in 64 games. In 2014-15, he registered career highs in assists (17) and points (25) in 68 games. During his first full season in 2013-14, Nash had 10 goals and 14 assists in 73 games.
Prior to joining the Hurricanes, Nash played one season with the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL. He was traded to Carolina from Edmonton on June 25, 2010, in exchange for the 46th overall pick in the 2007 NHL Draft.
Nash played his collegiate hockey at Cornell, where he collected 37 goals and 55 assists in 102 career games. As a freshman in 2007-08, he was the ECAC and Ivy League’s Rookie of the Year. He was named to the All-ECAC First Team in 2008-09.
