The Bruins visit the Sabres tonight in the second of eight games between these teams and the first of four games at HSBC Arena. The Bruins are 7-5-1 thus far and are 3-4-0 on the road. The Sabres are 5-7-1 overall with a 3-3-0 record on home ice. The Bruins are 1-2-1 vs. Northeast Division teams and they are 3-3-1 overall vs. Eastern Conference foes. The Sabres are 1-2-1 vs. Northeast Division teams and they are 5-6-1 overall vs. Eastern Conference opponents. Tim Thomas will start for Boston and Milan Lucic should return to the Bruins lineup.

The Bruins are 105-96-29-2 all-time vs. Buffalo with the Sabres holding a 767-766 scoring edge in those 232 games. The Bruins are 41-59-15-1 all-time vs. the Sabres in Buffalo with the Sabres having a 423-340 scoring advantage in those 116 contests. The Bruins won the first game of the series with a 4-3 overtime victory in Boston on Nov. 1.
