Five For Fighting Hunger -- The Boston Bruins will face off against hunger with their first-ever “Five For Fighting Hunger Can & Cash Drive” during their home game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on January 17th.
The Boston Bruins and the Greater Boston Food Bank will be collecting non-perishable food items to fill the vintage Boston Garden penalty box. Fans who donate five non-perishable food items or $5 in cash will be entered in a contest to win Boston Bruins autographed merchandise.
Fans are encouraged to bring donations of canned tuna fish, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, red and brown beans, and juice boxes. All cash and food collected will be donated to The Greater Boston Food Bank, which serves more than 83,000 people every week through its network of more than 600 hunger-relief agencies in eastern Massachusetts.
