Expected Lineup vs. Capitals 9/22

BOSTON — The Bruins will host the Washington Capitals in preseason action on Tuesday night at TD Garden, with puck drop set for 7:00 p.m. ET (98.5 The Sports Hub). It marks the first of three preseason home games at TD Garden.

The game will feature a five-minute, sudden-death overtime period using the new '3-on-3' format, regardless of the score at the end of regulation time. Forty-five NHL preseason games will include this expanded opportunity to test the new 3-on-3 OT format in advance of its introduction to regular-season play when the 2015-16 NHL season opens on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
