Swayman Picks Up Hardware

Bruins goalie prospect Jeremy Swayman was named to the 2018 Hockey East Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team for his efforts during his freshman season at the University of Maine.
Selected in the fourth round of last June's draft, the 19-year-old posted a 15-12-3 record to go along with a .921 save percentage and 2.72 goals against average in 31 games.
The Anchorage, Alaska, native ranked second in Hockey East save percentage, 10th in goals against average, and fifth in wins. His 1,812 minutes played were good for sixth.
Swayman's 15 wins were the most by a Maine freshman since Ben Bishop notched 21 in 2005-06.
He also earned five weekly league awards during the regular season, the most in Hockey East, and added one in the playoffs, while also earning Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month for January. He is the only player this season to have earned at least one Rookie, Player and Defensive Player of the Week award.

Gabrielle's Grand Goal

Jesse Gabrielle notched one of the goals of the year among Bruins prospects, with his Nikita Kucherov-inspired shootout tally, which lifted the Regina Pats (WHL) to a 3-2 win over Prince Albert on Wednesday night.
The 20-year-old, who began the year in Providence, clinched the victory when he faked to the backhand and let the puck slide through the five-hole of the Prince Albert goalie.
Gabrielle has 13 goals and 6 assists in 25 games for the Pats this season.
