The Boston Bruins announced today a special online chat and an addition to their The Original Six: History of the Boston Bruins
DVD launch party. On Friday, March 20 Bruins great Derek Sanderson will join fans for a "Rinkside Chat" online at BostonBruins.com from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. During the DVD Launch Party on Tuesday, March 24, Bruins greats Ray Bourque, John Bucyk, Ferny Flaman, Cam Neely and Milt Schmidt as well as current Bruins captain Zdeno Chara
will participate in a Question and Answer session with NESN commentators Andy Brickley and Gord Kluzak.
"Rinkside Chats" is an interactive online feature on BostonBruins.com that gives Bruins fans the opportunity to chat live with Bruins players, coaches, front office staff and alumni. Fans can log on to BostonBruins.com to chat with Sanderson at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20. Prior Rinkside Chatters this season included General Manager Peter Chiarelli and players Blake Wheeler, David Krejci
, and Byron Bitz.
The Question and Answer session will take place at center stage at the Hard Rock Cafe Boston during the DVD party's cocktail reception from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Never-before-seen clips from each player’s era will be featured and the group will discuss - among other topics - their greatest memories during their careers in Boston.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the entire 2008-2009 Boston Bruins roster, Bruins alumni, coaching staff and management during The Original Six: History of the Boston Bruins DVD launch party, at the Hard Rock Cafe Boston on Tuesday, March 24 from 5:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. (Hard Rock Cafe, 22-24 Clinton Street, Boston, MA 02109).
The Boston Bruins Foundation will be holding live and silent auctions at the launch party to benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and the Ellis Memorial & Eldredge House. Fans 21 plus are invited to purchase tickets to the DVD launch party at bostonbruins.com Fans can choose between two ticket options: VIP or General Admission. The $250 ($225 for Bruins season ticket holders) VIP ticket guarantees fans early entry in to the party before doors open to the General Admission ticket holders and the opportunity to interact with the players in an intimate setting at 5:30 p.m. The General Admission ticket, which costs $100 ($90 for Bruins sth), provides admittance into the party at 6:30 p.m.
