BOSTON -The National Hockey League announced today, February 1, that Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak has been named the NHL's second star of the month for January 2023.
Pastrnak was tied for the league lead in goals (13) while adding eight assists for 21 points in 14 appearances in January. He paced the Bruins in scoring and helped the team amass a 10-3-1 record, best in the Eastern Conference over the course of the month.
Pastrnak, 26, has played in 50 games with the Bruins this season, recording 38 goals and 33 assists for 71 points with a plus-24 rating.

Pastrnak leads the Bruins in goals (38), assists (33), points (71), points per game (1.42), even strength goals (24), even strength points (43), power play goals (14), and power play points (28) so far this season while averaging 19:44 time on ice per game.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound winger has spent all nine seasons of his career in Boston, playing in a total of 560 games for the Bruins. In that time, Pastrnak has amassed 278 goals and 297 assists for 575 points.
The Havirov, Czech Republic native was originally drafted by the Bruins in the first round (25th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
