Tonight’s Game
The Bruins host the Blackhawks tonight in the only game between these teams and the Blackhawks first visit to Boston since Jan. 30, 2003. The Bruins are 5-3-0 and are 2-0-0 on home ice. The Blackhawks are 5-4-0 overall with a 2-1-0 record on the road. The Bruins are playing their first game of the season against a Central Division team tonight and they are 3-2-0 vs. Western Conference foes. The Blackhawks are 1-0-0 vs. both Northeast Division and Eastern Conference opponents.

Hockey Fights Cancer
The NHL is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Hockey Fights Cancer initiative. All NHL players will wear pink Hockey Fights Cancer decals on the back of their helmets for all games throughout the entire month of October. Certain members of the Bruins on-ice and on-air broadcasting staff will sport pink ties, as well.

The Bruins are 256-234-79-2 all-time vs. Chicago with a 1,795-1,737 scoring advantage in those 571 games. The Bruins are 161-89-34-0 all-time vs. the Blackhawks on home ice with a 1,023-798 scoring edge in those 284 contests. The Bruins won the last game between these teams overall with a 5-3 win in Chicago on Dec. 29, 2006. The Blackhawks won the last game between these teams in Boston with a 3-1 win on Jan. 30, 2003 in their last visit to TD Banknorth Garden.
