BRUINS TO SUPPORT HOCKEY WEEKEND ACROSS AMERICA: On Saturday, February 21, USA Hockey and over 300 local associations across the country will host Try Hockey For Free Day. Participating locations encourage kids, ages four to nine, to come try youth hockey as part of the eighth annual Hockey Weekend Across America. The Bruins are supporting Hockey Weekend Across America by teaming up with FMC Ice Sports to host G.O.A.L! (Get Out and Learn!), presented by AT&T, a free skating and hockey instruction session for kids ages four to 16. With G.O.A.L.! kids who are new to the sport can try hockey in a fun, educational and safe environment. Blades and the Youth Hockey Development Team will be on-hand to assist new skaters. In addition, full hockey equipment, including skates will be provided free of charge. To register, visit bostonbruins.com/youthhockey. 

The Bruins are also hosting a Wear Your Favorite Jersey Day, show off your Bruins pride by wearing your favorite B’s jersey to work or school on Friday, February 20 to kick off Hockey Weekend Across America. Another Hockey Weekend Across America initiative that the Bruins are supporting is the Officials Shadowing Program - two outstanding youth hockey referees from New England will meet with the NHL referees prior to the Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks game on February 24. The NHL referees will give the youth referees pointers they can take back to their youth games.

B'S TO HOST G.O.A.L.! PRESENTED BY AT&T IN GARDNER, MA: The Boston Bruins and FMC Ice Sports have teamed up to host G.OA.L.! presented by AT&T, a FREE skating and hockey instruction clinic for children ages 4-16.  The next clinic will take place on Saturday, February 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Gardner Veterans Arena in Gardner, MA (45 Veterans Drive, Gardner, MA) as part of the B’s supporting Hockey Weekend Across America. The program allows children new to the sport try hockey in a fun and safe learning environment. Blades and the youth hockey development team will be on-hand to assist new skates. B'S AND NORTHEAST PASSAGE HOST SLED HOCKEY:
The Boston Bruins have teamed up with Northeast Passage to host a sled hockey clinic allowing children with disabilities the opportunity to participate in hockey. The children will work on the fundamentals of the sport in a safe and structured environment. The next clinic will take place on Sunday, February 22 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Nobles Rink in Dedham, MA (10 Campus Drive, Dedham, MA.) BRUINS FOUNDATION TO HOST “FASHION POWER PLAY”: The Boston Bruins Foundation will host “Fashion Power Play” a fundraiser fashion show to benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation on Tuesday, March 3, at Copley Place. Featured models for the event will include many of the wives and girlfriends of current Boston Bruins Players as well as professional models. Neiman Marcus will provide all runway fashion and Kathy Benharris will be styling and producing the event. The Bruins Foundation will host 250 guests seated along a spectacular 110-foot runway. Guests will enjoy complimentary cocktails and culinary delights. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on unique silent auction items including Boston Bruins autographed memorabilia, the latest fashion trends and accessories, and other offerings donated by sponsors. Fans interested in purchasing tickets to Fashion Power Play should visit www.bostonbruins.com/fashionshow. VIP seating (first two rows) tickets will cost $100 per ticket and general admission seating will cost $75 per ticket.

BRUINS ALUMNI IN THE COMMUNITY: On Saturday, February 21 the Boston Bruins Alumni will play the Revere All Stars at the Cronin Memorial Rink in Revere at 1:30 p.m.  All proceeds from the game will benefit the Revere Columbus Day Parade and Pro AM/Children's Hospital.  Alumni members expected in attendance include Cleon Daskalakis, Reggie Lemelin and Tim Sweeney. Then, on Sunday, February 22 the Bruins Alumni Team will head to the Falmouth Ice Rink to take on the Falmouth Police Federation at 3:00 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Police Athletic League of Cape Cod. Alumni members expected to participate include Dan LaCouture, Jay Miller, Eric Nickulas and Rick Middleton among others.

SEASON 2 OF BEHIND THE B:
Season Two of the Black & Gold’s all-access television series “Behind the B” presented by Alex and Ani has begun, with 13 episodes slated to air during the 2014-15 season. All episodes will again be narrated by actor and Worcester, MA native, Denis Leary.

BOSTON BRUINS FOUNDATION 50/50 RAFFLE:
During each Boston Bruins home game, the Boston Bruins Foundation conducts the 50/50 raffle presented by Health Services Administrators. Fifty percent of the proceeds go towards the beneficiary hosted by the Bruins Foundation that night, while the other fifty percent of the proceeds go to one lucky winner. The 50/50 program comprises one third of the annual fundraising for the Boston Bruins Foundation. After the winning ticket is selected, the number will be announced in-game giving the winner the opportunity to claim their prize at Guest Services on the Loge Level, Section 4 or by checking the numbers posted on the Bruins Foundation Website within 30 days of the winning game, which can be found at the following link: http://bruins.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=101168.

BRUINS ON THE AIRWAVES: Bruins defenseman Torey Krug has been confirmed as a weekly call-in guest with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Scott Zolak and Marc Betrand, which airs weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while forward Reilly Smith is expected to be regular a guest with 98.5's Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb (Toucher and Rich), which airs weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Bruins President Cam Neely will also be a guest with Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti  (Felger and Mazz) on their show, which airs weekdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Chris Kelly will be a regular guest on 100.7 WZLX with Kevin Karlson and Pete McKenzie (Karlson & McKenzie), which airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Call-in days and times are dependent upon the B’s schedule.

OFF THE ICE…

PATRICE’S PALS: As a part of his continuing charitable initiative Patrice’s Pals, Bruins alternate captain Patrice Bergeron invites children from local hospitals and other organizations to experience a Bruins home game from his luxury suite. Children and their families receive goodie bags filled with Bruins memorabilia, a visit from the Bruins Mascot Blades and Bruins Ice Girls, as well as a feature on the Garden HDX. After the game, Patrice’s Pals are escorted to ice level and introduced to Patrice himself who signs autographs and takes pictures with his Pals.

COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAM:
For the entirety of the Boston Bruins 2014-15 regular season, Bruins Chief Executive Officer Charlie Jacobs is donating ten balcony tickets to every home game to children from charitable organizations across New England, who are invited to enjoy a Bruins home game from these donated seats.

CLUTCH FACTOR: Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand are currently tied for the team lead in goals, each with 16. Eight of Bergeron’s 16 have come as the game-leading-goal and five have come as the game-tying-goal. 10 of Marchand’s 16 have come as the game-leading-goal, seven of which were the team’s first goal of the game.

YEAR OF THE ROOKIES: Bruins rookies Malcolm Subban and Brian Ferlin look to play in their first NHL games joining four other Bruins to claim that accomplishment this year including Bobby Robins (10/8/14 vs. PHI), Seth Griffith (10/13/15 vs. COL), Joe Morrow (10/30/14 at BUF) and David Pastrnak (11/24/14 vs. PIT).

DRILLING FOR OIL: The Bruins have taken points out of the last 14 games vs. the Oilers going 13-0-1. The last time the Bruins lost to Edmonton in regulation was on October 17, 2000 where the Oilers outscored the B’s six to one with a three point performance from Oilers’ forward Bill Guerin.

LONGSHOT: The 12-round shootout vs. Edmonton on Wednesday night was the longest in Bruins history. The previous record was set on February 10, 2007 during a 9 round shootout win against the New York Islanders where Zdeno Chara scored the shootout-winning goal.

243 AND COUNTING: Following Tuesday’s home game against the Dallas Stars, the Boston Bruins have sold out 243 straight regular season and playoff games. This sellout streak began on December 5, 2009 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The last game the Bruins did not have 17,565 in attendance at the Garden was on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 when they hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning (16,553).
