BOSTON BRUINS PRACTICE FACILITY GROUNDBREAKING ON 12/10: The Boston Bruins and Boston Landing announced that the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new Boston Bruins practice facility will take place at the Boston Landing development site on Wednesday, December 10 at 1:00 p.m. (adjacent to 20 Guest St. Boston, MA 02135). Bruins Principal Charlie Jacobs, Bruins President Cam Neely, The Mayor of Boston Martin J. Walsh, Chairman of New Balance Jim Davis, Managing Director for NB Development Group Jim Halliday, and Managing Director for the HYM Investment Group Tom O’Brien will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony. The group will highlight renderings and details on the new construction project as well as reveal the naming of the facility at the event. Light refreshments will be served. Media parking will be available in the lot across from the Boston Landing development site and at the parking garage at 25 Guest St.  

BOSTON BRUINS FOUNDATION CONCERT: Join the Boston Bruins Foundation and a great lineup of live bands for a fun filled night of music and hockey, while raising funds for Toys for Tots! On Saturday, December 13, after the Bruins face off against the Ottawa Senators, come out to West End Johnnie's to kickoff the holiday season and listen to great live music. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a raffle full of great prizes and are encouraged to bring toys to support the cause. Net proceeds from this event will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and Toys for Tots.  A limited number of VIP tickets are available which includes access to a private lounge as well as complimentary food for the evening. BOSTON BRUINS FOUNDATION HOLIDAY AUCTION:
The Boston Bruins Foundation will be hosting their first ever Online Holiday Auction beginning Monday, December 1, 2014 through Friday, December 12, 2014. Bruins Fans will have the opportunity to bid on once and a lifetime opportunities including traveling on the team charter, lunch with Bruins Legend Ray Bourque, signed memorabilia and more. P.A.S.S. CLINIC SERIES PRESENTED BY TD BANK: TD Bank and the Boston Bruins have teamed up for the ninth straight year to support New England youth hockey through the P.A.S.S. (Partnership to Assist Skaters and Shooters) clinic series.  P.A.S.S. features a free on-ice clinic conducted by Bruins alumni and members of the Boston Bruins Youth Hockey Development Team.  The clinic includes instruction on hockey fundamentals such as skating, passing and shooting, as well as a $1,000 donation from TD Bank to each hosting youth hockey organization.  In addition, each individual participant will receive two tickets to an upcoming Bruins game as well as a TD Bank P.A.S.S. jersey and gift bag.  P.A.S.S. clinics are open to youth hockey players between the ages of 8 and 12. HALLMARK HEALTH HOSPITAL VISIT: Bruins players will be visiting Melrose/Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA on Tuesday, December 9 beginning 1:30 p.m.  Throughout the visit, the Bruins players will spend time with hospital patients in the maternity ward and other parts of the hospital, giving out gift bags filled with Bruins memorabilia as well as signing autographs.  For more information, please see the “Around Town” section of the Week Ahead.

2015 PUCKS & PUPS CALENDAR: On Friday, November 28, the Boston Bruins Foundation launched their 2015 Pucks and Pups Calendar presented by The Black Dog featuring Bruins players photographed with their pets or with adoptable dogs from the MSPCA-Angell. Due to the generosity of our presenting sponsor, The Black Dog, all proceeds from the calendar will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and donations will be made to the MSPCA and NEADS. The Pucks & Pups calendar is available at the ProShop powered by Reebok, all retail locations within TD Garden, the Bruins Foundation table on the arena concourse during Bruins home games, and online at www.bostonbruins.com/pucksandpups. This is the second year of the Pucks & Pups calendar; last year the calendar raised over $120,000 with a portion donated directly to the MSPCA’s adoption services program to care for homeless animals awaiting adoption.

SEASON 2 OF BEHIND THE B: Season Two of the Black & Gold’s all-access television series “Behind the B” presented by Alex and Ani has begun, with 13 episodes slated to air during the 2014-15 season. All episodes will again be narrated by actor and Worcester, MA native, Denis Leary.

BOSTON BRUINS FOUNDATION 50/50 RAFFLE:  During each Boston Bruins home game, the Boston Bruins Foundation conducts the 50/50 raffle presented by Health Services Administrators. Fifty percent of the proceeds go towards the beneficiary hosted by the Bruins Foundation that night, while the other fifty percent of the proceeds go to one lucky winner. The 50/50 program comprises of one third of annual fundraising for the Boston Bruins Foundation. After the winning ticket is selected, the number will be announced in-game giving the winner the opportunity to claim their prize at Guest Services on the Loge Level, Section 4 or by checking the numbers posted on the Bruins Foundation Website within 30 days of the winning game, which can be found at the following link: http://bruins.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=101168.

BRUINS ON THE AIRWAVES: Bruins defenseman Torey Krug has been confirmed as a weekly call-in guest with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Andy Gresh and Scott Zolak (Gresh and Zo), which airs weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while forward Reilly Smith is expected to be regular a guest with 98.5's Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb (Toucher and Rich), which airs weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Bruins President Cam Neely will also be a guest with Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti  (Felger and Mazz) on their show, which airs weekdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Chris Kelly will be a regular guest on 100.7 WZLX with Kevin Karlson and Pete McKenzie (Karlson & McKenzie), which airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Call-in days and times are dependent upon the B’s schedule.

OFF THE ICE…

PATRICE’S PALS: As a part of his continuing charitable initiative Patrice’s Pals, Bruins alternate captain Patrice Bergeron invites children from local hospitals and other organizations to experience a Bruins home game from his luxury suite. Children and their families receive goodie bags filled with Bruins memorabilia, a visit from the Bruins Mascot Blades and Bruins Ice Girls, as well as a feature on the Garden HDX. After the game, Patrice’s Pals are escorted to ice level and introduced to Patrice himself who signs autographs and takes pictures with his Pals.

COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAM: For the entirety of the Boston Bruins 2014-15 regular season, Bruins Principal and Alternate Governor Charlie Jacobs is donating ten balcony tickets to every home game to children from charitable organizations across New England, who are invited to enjoy a Bruins home game from these donated seats.

228 AND COUNTING: Following Friday’s home game against the Winnipeg Jets, the Boston Bruins have sold out 228 straight regular season and playoff games. This sellout streak began more than four years ago on December 5, 2009 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The last game the Bruins did not have 17,565 in attendance at the Garden was on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 when they hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning (16,553).
