Bruins defenseman Torey Krug has been confirmed as a weekly call-in guest with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Andy Gresh and Scott Zolak (Gresh and Zo), which airs weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while forward Reilly Smith is expected to be regular a guest with 98.5's Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb (Toucher and Rich), which airs weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Chris Kelly will be a regular guest on 100.7 WZLX with Kevin Karlson and Pete McKenzie (Karlson & McKenzie), which airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Call-in days and times are dependent upon the B’s schedule.KHOKHLACHEV ASSIGNED TO PROVIDENCE:
Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced Friday, November 14, that the club has assigned forward Alexander Khokhlachev to the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League). Khokhlachev has skated in 12 games for the Providence Bruins this season, recording five goals (first on the team) and six assists (second on the team) for 11 points (second on the team) with a plus-four rating. In total, the forward has appeared in 88 games with Providence from 2012 to 2014, racking up 28 goals and 43 assists. Khokhlachev made his NHL debut last season against the Devils in New Jersey where he registered two shots in 15:14 time on ice.MILITARY JERSEY RAFFLE:
During warmsups on Monday, November 11, the Boston Bruins wore camouflage jerseys in honor of Military Appreciation Night presented by the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Army National Guard. The Boston Bruins Foundation is currently auctioning off a portion of these jerseys at auctions.nhl.com and raffling off the David Krejci jersey at nhlalumniraffles.org
. Additionally, the remainder of the jerseys will be raffled and auctioned in game on Saturday, November 15.
FRANCISCAN ADAPTIVE SKATING PROGRAM:
On Wednesday, November 19, the Boston Bruins Foundation will be attending the final session of the Franciscan Hospital Adaptive Skating program at Simoni Rink in Somerville from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Boston Bruins Foundation has been partnering with this program, for eight years, which brings kids will all sorts of disabilities onto the ice one day a week for 10 weeks. The program is guided to improve the participants balance and motor skills will providing them the opportunity to participate in the sport just as any other child would do.
P.A.S.S. CLINIC SERIES PRESENTED BY TD BANK:
On Thursday, November 20, the Boston Bruins will hold their next P.A.S.S. clinic presented by TD Bank at Churchill Rink in Durham New Hampshire (10 Old Piscataqua Road, Durham, NH) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. TD Bank and the Boston Bruins have teamed up for the ninth straight year to support New England youth hockey through the P.A.S.S. (Partnership to Assist Skaters and Shooters) clinic series. P.A.S.S. features a free on-ice clinic conducted by Bruins alumni and members of the Boston Bruins Youth Hockey Development Team. The clinic includes instruction on hockey fundamentals such as skating, passing and shooting, as well as a $1,000 donation from TD Bank to each hosting youth hockey organization. In addition, each individual participant will receive two tickets to an upcoming Bruins game as well as a TD Bank P.A.S.S. jersey and gift bag. The 50/50 program comprises of one third of annual fundraising for the Boston Bruins Foundation.
