Boston, MA - Boston Bruins rookie center David Krejci (pronounced 'KRAY-chee') was named the NHL's Third Star of the Week for the week ending March 30.

In four games last week, Krejci recorded three goals and five assists while helping the Bruins capture seven of a possible eight points.  On March 25 against Toronto, Krejci notched a goal and an assist and followed that with a two-assist performance against the Leafs on Thursday, March 27.  In a 4-0 win over Ottawa on March 29, Krejci tallied one goal and two assists and then scored the lone goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to Buffalo on March 30.

Krejci's eight points were tied with San Jose's Joe Thornton for the highest total of the week.

During the 2007-2008 season, Krejci has recorded 6-20-26 totals.

Krejci is the second Bruin to garner "Star of the Week" honors this year, as goaltender Tim Thomas was named the NHL's Second Star for the week ending March 2.
