BOSTON, MA - The Boston Bruins will host "Fan Appreciation Day" during the Bruins/Hurricanes contest at the TD Garden on Saturday, April 10 at 1:00 p.m. ET, in an effort to thank fans for their continued support throughout the 2009-10 season.
Immediately following the game, Bruins players will remain on the ice and throw t-shirts into the stands, then hand 24 fans that were chosen at random based on seat section and seat number the "Shirts of their Backs." Each of these lucky Bruins fans will receive a sealed envelope containing the name of a current Bruins player they will meet that afternoon. These lucky fans will then participate in the on-ice ceremony where they will meet and take home the game-worn autographed jersey of that player.
In addition to winning the "Shirts off their Backs," Bruins fans will enjoy an exciting day of contests and promotions. Upon arrival, 17,000 fans will receive a Bruins rally towel courtesy of AirTran. Throughout the game, Bruins fans will have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes including a trip to New York to see the Bruins play the Rangers during the 2010-11 season. One fan will also win the chance to have his or her family holiday portrait taken at center ice with the giant bear featured in the Bruins TV commercials.
The Bruins Ice Girls will have Harmonix's Rock Band game set up at their photo and autograph station at Section 7 on the Level 4 concourse.
