BOSTON – On Thursday Feb. 10th, the Boston Bruins wives and girlfriends walked the runway at the Taj in Boston as part of “Carnevale di Moda,” a fashion show that supports the Boston Bruins Foundation.

The women, including Tatiana Chara, Brittney Carnegie, Christine Sweeney and Kim Jacobs, modeled the 2011 spring and resort collections from Saks Fifth Avenue.

“It was such a great experience, we had such a fun time this afternoon,” said Kim Jacobs, the wife of Boston Bruins Principal and Alternate Governor Charlie Jacobs, after the show.

“Everybody getting together and spending the afternoon getting all prettified and everything -- it was fun.”

Each of the women, who were joined by professional models on the runway, modeled two different looks for a group of about almost 200 honored guests.

“I am excited. I am very nervous,” said Brittany Carnegie, girlfriend of Bruins forward Milan Lucic, before the show.

“We have a bunch of other girls that aren’t participating in the show who are going to come out and support the foundation.”

Before the show, each of the women took part in a modeling tutorial with one of the professional models in order to refine their work on the catwalk.

“I had a beautiful model show me what to do,” Carnegie said. “It was fun, she taught me how to do the turns and what I [would be] doing.”

Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara, who was in the audience to support his wife Tatiana, said after the show that he thought all the women did a good job modeling the Saks Fifth Avenue collections.

“I enjoyed it very much. I don’t have a chance to go to these events very often,” he said. “But all the women looked very beautiful and stunning, the dresses they had were very nice and beautiful.”

“I enjoyed it. (Tatiana) looked very beautiful and gorgeous and I’m very proud of her.”
