B's Assign Matt Fraser to Providence

BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, January 12, that the club has assigned forward Matt Fraser to the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League).

Fraser has appeared in 14 games with Boston, registering two goals, including his first goal as a Bruin on December 23 against the Predators in Nashville.

Fraser has skated in 23 games with the Providence Bruins this season, recording 16 goals and five assists for 21 points with 23 penalty minutes.

The 6’1’’, 204-pound native of Red Deer, Alberta was acquired by Boston on July 4, 2013 with Loui Eriksson, Joe Morrow and Reilly Smith in exchange for Tyler Seguin, Rich Peverley, and Ryan Button.

TRANSACTION: Bruins assign forward Matt Fraser to the Providence Bruins.
