BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, Sunday, November 23, that the club has assigned forwards Jordan Caron and Matt Lindblad to the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League).
Lindblad made his 2014-15 debut with Boston on November 22 against Montreal and he skated in two games for Boston last season, making his NHL debut on March 15, 2014 against the Carolina Hurricanes at TD Garden. In 16 games for Providence this season, the forward has registered two goals and four assists with a plus-four rating.
From 2013-2014, the 24-year-old forward has appeared in 75 games for Providence, accruing 11 goals and 24 assists with a combined plus-three rating. In 12 postseason games for the P-Bruins in 2013-14, Lindblad posted three goals and four assists for seven points (tied for fifth on the team).
Prior to joining Providence, the 23-year-old skated three seasons (2010-13) for Dartmouth College. In 89 games for the Big Green, Lindblad racked up 29 goals and 51 assists for 80 points.
The 5’11’’, 193-pound Winnetka, IL native was signed by Boston as a free agent on April 5, 2013.Caron skated in one game for Boston this season against the Colorado Avalanche on October 13, 2014. From 2010-2014, the 24-year-old forward has appeared in 124 games for Boston, tallying 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points. Caron has also skated in nine postseason contests with Boston, notching one goal.
Caron has competed in nine games for Providence this year, compiling five goals with four assists and a plus-seven rating. During his career with Providence, Caron has appeared in 120 games while posting 32 goals and 36 assists for 68 points.
The 6’3”, 204-pound Sayabec, Quebec native was drafted by the Bruins in the first round (25th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
