BOSTON, MA - On Friday, December 18 at 9:30 a.m. the Boston Bruins will host the "First Skate at Fenway" where Bruins greats including Ray Bourque, Cam Neely, Terry O’Reilly and Bobby Orr will join members of the Somervillle Youth Hockey Team and be the first to skate on the outdoor rink at Fenway Park (4 Yawkey Way, Boston, MA 02215).

Other Bruins alumni participating are: Lyndon Byers, Cleon Daskalakis, Gary Doak, Ken Hodge, Ken Linseman, John McKenzie, Rick Middleton, Jay Miller, Brad Park, Milt Schmidt, Assistant General Manager Don Sweeney and Boston Bruins Foundation Director of Development Bob Sweeney.

The participants in the First Skate will all meet at the TD Garden at 8:45 a.m. and head over to the Fenway in a caravan that will consist of trolleys, the Bruins Hummer, and a Zamboni. The complete route can be found below.

Also riding in the caravan and participating in the “First Skate” will be 18 Somerville youth hockey players who were selected by the Bruins organization. Two very special members of the Somerville team, 6-year-old Aiden Johnson and 8-year-old Julia Johnson, were selected because their father, Lieutenant Colonel Rich Johnson, is currently serving overseas in the U.S military and will not be able to spend the holidays together. The Bruins invited their entire team, and their coach Ron Bonney, who is a veteran of the armed forces, to join the alumni on the ice at Fenway Park for the very first time.

After the Caravan arrives at Fenway, the alumni and youth hockey players will take the ice from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Media availability for the participants will take place after the skate.

Members of the media will be able to check in and enter Fenway Park at Gate D.
