B's Announce Playoff Schedule

BOSTON, MA - The Boston Bruins announced their game, practice and media availability schedule for the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoff Quarterfinals. Also, playoff credential policies and media hotel information for those members of the press traveling to Montreal are now available. Please note that all members of the media covering Bruins practices must have a form of press identification with them and visible at all times.


The Bruins will not have practice Monday, April 11, and there will not be any media availability for Head Coach Claude Julien or the team’s players.  Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli will be on a media conference call at 12:00 noon ET on Monday.  The call-in details for the call are:

Games 1 and 2 of the B’s/Canadiens series will be played in Boston at the TD Garden on Thursday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. ET and on Saturday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. ET.  The Canadiens will then host the Bruins for Games 3 and 4 on Monday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. ET and Thursday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m. ET at the Bell Centre.  If necessary, Game 5 is set for Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. ET in Boston, while Game 6 will be back in Montreal on Tuesday, April 26 (time TBD), and Game 7 will be played in Boston on Wednesday, April 27 (time TBD).

Television broadcast information is posted below. All playoff games can be heard on the Bruins flagship radio station, 98.5 FM The Sports Hub.

Please be aware that Bruins regular season credentials WILL NOT be valid for Bruins home games during the playoffs.  Members of the media must submit requests on a game-by-game basis.  Please send an email to MediaIntern@bostonbruins.com by the respective deadline that contains the information in the CREDENTIALING section below.

Members of the media interested in obtaining preferred rates for hotel accommodations in Montreal should visit the Boston Bruins Media Website on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 12. The Bruins 2011 Playoff Media Guide is expected to be available Monday online at the Bruins Media Website.

Requests must be submitted 48 hours before the respective game in Montreal (Tuesday, April 12 at 7 p.m. ET for Game 1).

Requests must be submitted 48 hours prior to the respective game’s start time. Applications that do not include all of the above fields may be denied.  Applicants will be notified upon approval/denial within 24 hours of submission.  

Members of the media who are approved for playoff credentials can pick them up at the Bruins Media Will Call table from 9:30 a.m. ET - 8:30 p.m. ET on GAMEDAYS.  The Bruins Media Will Call table is located at the Back Security Entrance on the East Side of the TD Garden.

PHOTOGRAPHER POSITIONS (HOME GAMES):
The Bruins will have a total of 28 still photographer positions at the TD Garden for the playoffs.  These positions will be assigned by the Bruins during a photographers meeting which will be held 90 minutes prior to all home games.  The photographers meeting will take place in the Zamboni entrance on (level 3), and will be led by a member of the Bruins communications staff.

MEDIA HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:
Members of the media planning on traveling to Montreal will have access to a preferred team rate. Visit the Bruins Media Website on Tuesday for more information.
