CUTS FOR A CAUSE: Bruins Forward Patrice Bergeron is teaming up with 98.5 The Sports Hub and 24 members of the 2015-16 Bruins roster for the ninth annual "Cuts for a Cause" event to raise money to fight pediatric cancer on Wednesday, March 30 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (VIP session: 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.) at the Westin Boston Waterfront (425 Summer St, Boston, MA 02210). Patrice Bergeron along with teammates Noel Acciari, Matt Beleskey, Zdeno Chara, Brett Connolly, Landon Ferraro, Jonas Gustavsson, Jimmy Hayes, Kevan Miller, Chris Kelly, John-Michael Liles, Brad Marchand, Adam McQuaid, Joe Morrow, Tyler Randell, Dennis Seidenberg, Ryan Spooner, Lee Stempniak and Zach Trotman will be available to have their heads shaved by auction winners to show their support and raise money for the Boston Bruins Foundation and Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. Also for the first time ever, fans can bid on the opportunity to have their own heads shaved by a Bruins player. STAT OF THE WEEK: Since the trade deadline, the Bruins are tied for the fewest regular season losses in the NHL with one – a 3-2 defeat at San Jose on March 15. The Bruins are 5-1-2 in eight games since Feb. 29 and have allowed just 16 goals, tied with the Los Angeles Kings for fewest in the league since the trade deadline.

BOSTON BRUINS STREET HOCKEY PRESENTED BY FRIENDLY’S: Boston Bruins Mascot Blades and the Youth Hockey Development team will visit the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester on Monday, March 21 and the Saugus Family YMCA on Wednesday, March 23 to donate street hockey equipment and host a clinic for children from the community. The clinic will teach kids fundamentals such as stickhandling, passing, and shooting, and conclude with a scrimmage. BRUINS TO HOST 6th ANNUAL BRUINS FOR BABIES NIGHT: The Boston Bruins will host Bruins for Babies Night during their home game against the Florida Panthers on Thursday, March 24 to benefit the March of Dimes. BRUINS OWNER JEREMY JACOBS TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE MA HOCKEY HALL OF FAME: The Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame announced that they will induct Jeremy Jacobs, Bruins Owner and Chairman of Delaware North, into the 21st Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame class. The fellow inductees include David A. Jensen, Stephen Palmacci and Jack Parker. They will be joining a roster of past and current hockey greats recognized for their accomplishments and contributions to the sport of ice hockey in Massachusetts. The ceremony and dinner will be held the evening of Saturday, June 18, 2016.

BOSTON BRUINS AND VELCRO PRESENT BATTLE OF THE BOOKS: The Boston Bruins are teaming up with Velcro Companies to introduce the “Battle of the Books” competition. Classrooms in schools across New England will compete in a playoff-style bracket competition to see which book will reign supreme. The Boston Bruins and Velcro Companies hope to encourage reading amongst kids of all ages through this fun and engaging competition featuring Bruins-themed and VELCRO® Brand prizes. Each participating classroom will select sixteen books to start their bracket then select their favorite books to advance to the next round and eventually name a “Battle of the Books” winner. Boston Bruins players nominated their favorite books to give classrooms a few ideas to start their bracket.
