week ahead

THIS WEEK'S NEWS, NOTES AND NUMBERS…
STAT OF THE WEEK:Since Patrice Bergeron joined the NHL in the 2003-2004 season, he has won more faceoffs than any other player in the league, with 10,856 wins. Bergeron has a gap of 1,230 faceoff wins from second-place Sidney Crosby (9,611). The 32-year-old center has a career faceoff win percentage of 57.1 percent and ranks sixth in the NHL this season at 57.2 percent (751 wins, 564 losses).
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:"The guys still play hard for one another. Even though you're getting pushed by a guy, and you want to outplay him, you're happy for his success. I think I said that five months ago; the guys are truly happy for one another's success, and that's what makes a special team. Now, where it takes us, who knows, but it's taken us to a good spot this year." - Bruce Cassidy on the healthy competition within the team.
