‘LITTLE BRUINS’ PROGRAM LAUNCH: Boston Bruins Principal Charlie Jacobs announced that the organization is launching the “Little Bruins” Learn to Play Hockey program, a new youth hockey initiative which will introduce the game of hockey to 500 children in Massachusetts annually. Presented by Friendly's the “Little Bruins” program will help aspiring youth hockey players develop their skills and create opportunities for more children to learn how to play hockey, while lessening the financial burden on families. Registration for the Little Bruins program will begin on Tuesday, September 23 at 10:00 a.m. ET on www.bostonbruins.com/littlebruins, registration is on a first come, first served basis. Partnering with the Bruins on the program is Friendly’s who will become a presenting partner of the Little Bruins and the Official Family Restaurant and Ice Cream of the Boston Bruins. BLACK & GOLD SCRIMMAGE: The first preseason game action of the 2014-15 preseason will take place Sunday, September 21 in Providence, RI at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center at 5:00 p.m. with an inter-squad scrimmage.
PRESEASON GAMES ON THE AIRWAVES: NESN will televise two of the seven Bruins preseason games this year (9/30 vs. Islanders and 10/4 vs. Red Wings), while the NHL Network will carry three games (9/26 at Washington, 9/30 vs. Islanders and 10/4 vs. Red Wings). Dave Goucher and Bob Beers will call four games total beginning with the preseason opener at Montreal on 9/23 and the three home games at TD Garden (9/24, 9/30 and 10/4).
BRUINS TO HOST COACHING SYMPOSIUM ON 10/4: The Boston Bruins and USA Hockey are teaming up to bring youth hockey coaches a day of coaching education from members of the Boston Bruins Coaching Staff, USA Hockey, and other experts in the field. Youth hockey coaches will listen to the expert panel present on all aspects of coaching, followed by age specific break out sessions. A new feature for this season’s event is that USA Hockey coaches can earn their Level 2 and 3 certifications by attending the event.

PASS CLINICS PRESENTED BY TD BANK ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS: TD Bank, America’s most convenient bank, has teamed up with the Bruins for the ninth straight year to support New England youth hockey through PASS (Partnership to Assist Skaters and Shooters). The B’s will begin accepting applications from youth hockey organizations throughout New England to participate in PASS clinics this season with ten organizations being randomly selected to host clinics during the 2014-15 season. As part of the program every child will receive full head-to-toe CCM equipment (including skates), a professional fitting at MonkeySports Superstore in Norwood and four weeks of on ice instruction from Massachusetts Hockey coaches. Registration for the Little Bruins program will begin on Tuesday, September 23 at 10:00 a.m. ET on www.bostonbruins.com/littlebruins, registration is on a first come, first served basis. The program is open to any children aged five through eight including those who have never participated in organized hockey. Partnering with the Bruins on the program is Friendly’s who will become a presenting partner of the Little Bruins and the Official Family Restaurant and Ice Cream of the Boston Bruins.

OFF THE ICE…
PATRICE’S PALS: As a part of his continuing charitable initiative Patrice’s Pals, Bruins alternate captain Patrice Bergeron invites children from local hospitals and other organizations to experience a Bruins home game from his luxury suite. Children and their families receive goodie bags filled with Bruins memorabilia, a visit from the Bruins Mascot Blades and Bruins Ice Girls, as well as a feature on the Garden HDX. After the game, Patrice’s Pals are escorted to ice level and introduced to Patrice himself who signs autographs and takes pictures with his Pals.
COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAM: For the entirety of the Boston Bruins 2014-15 regular season, Bruins Principal and Alternate Governor Charlie Jacobs is donating ten balcony tickets to every home game to children from charitable organizations across New England, who are invited to enjoy a Bruins home game from these donated seats.
