CUTS FOR A CAUSE: Join Patrice Bergeron , members of the Boston Bruins, and 98.5 The Sports Hub for the 10th annual Cuts for a Cause on Monday, March 27 at House of Blues. Bergeron and his teammates will have their heads shaved to raise money for children battling cancer. BOSTON BRUINS FOUNDATION HARLEY-DAVIDSON RAFFLE: One lucky fan will have the opportunity to win a Boston Bruins custom designed Harley-Davidson Street Bob. This exclusive 2016 Harley-Davidson Street Bob is the only one of its kind and was designed and transformed by Scott McKay, owner and artist at Thin Air Grafx. Special attention was given to ensure that the motorcycle captures the essence of the Boston Bruins' rich heritage and timeless traditions. The motorcycle was proudly donated by Boston Harley-Davidson. All proceeds will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation. Raffle tickets will be available at from 3/20 until 4/21.


HART TROPHY CONVERSATION: Bruins forward Brad Marchand , who earned his first NHL All-Star selection this season, is in the midst of a tightly contested race for the Hart Trophy, given annually to the "player judged most valuable to his team" in the NHL. In his eighth season, all with the Bruins, the 28-year-old Halifax, N.S. native leads the Bruins with 37 goals (tied for career high, tied for second in NHL) and 43 assists (career high) for 80 points (career high, fourth in NHL) in 74 games. He also has three shorthanded goals (tied for third in NHL), seven game-winning goals (fourth in NHL) and leads the Bruins with 18 multi-point games. He was named the NHL's second star for the month of January and was named the NHL's first star of the week for the week ending March 19. Since January 1, Marchand leads the league in goals (27) and points (49). The last Bruins player to win the Hart Trophy was Joe Thornton (2005-06), who was traded during the season to the San Jose Sharks. 

BRUINS SIGN FITZGERALD AND JOHANSSON TO ENTRY-LEVEL CONTRACTS: Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, March 24, that the team has signed Boston College forward Ryan Fitzgerald to a two-year entry-level contract, beginning the with 2017-18 season, and defenseman Emil Johansson to a three-year entry-level contract, beginning with the 2017-18 season. Fitzgerald will join the Providence Bruins on an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO) and Johansson will join the Providence Bruins on a Professional Tryout Agreement (PTO) for the remainder of the 2016-17 season.




STAT OF THE WEEK: The Bruins are 31-for-107 (29.0%) on the power play since January 1, ranking first in the NHL over that span.

BRUINS ACADEMY KIDS APP: Bruins Academy is part of the Bruins' ongoing mission to encourage positive youth development through the sport of hockey. To join the club, download the new mobile app designed specifically for kids called Bruins Academy presented by Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. The app has built-in safety features that provide a safe experience for kids to connect with each other and their favorite team. In the new Bruins Academy app, kids can explore exclusive team content, create their own avatar, learn educational tips, test their trivia skills, and participate in challenges.


SEASON TICKET HOLDER RENEWALS: As of Monday, March 6, fans are able to renew their season tickets for the 2017-18 season. For the second consecutive year, current Season Ticket Holders who own tickets for personal use will see no increase in price when they renew their Season Tickets for the 2017-18 NHL Season. To renew, please log into the Bruins Hub or visit Season Ticket Holder Central behind Section 15 during the next Bruins game. Season Ticket Holders will receive information via standard mail this upcoming week. Please note that the deadline to renew season tickets is Thursday, March 23 at 11:59 p.m.

PEABODY AND WOBURN BFIT SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES: On March 28 and 31, the Boston Bruins B-Fit Team will be traveling to Peabody, MA and Woburn, MA for two Boston Bruins School Assembly Programs powered by B-Fit. Led by Bruins Foundation Director of Health, Fitness, and Wellness, John Whitesides and the B-Fit Team, Thomas Carroll School and Goodyear Elementary School will learn about nutrition and getting out and moving by engaging in interactive activities for the 45-minute program. BOSTON BRUINS APRIL CAMPS: Registration for the 2017 Boston Bruins & Pro Ambitions April Vacation Camps is now open. BOSTON BRUINS ALUMNI GAMES: Saturday, March 25, 7 p.m. - The Light Foundation and The Little Heroes Fund will host the Boston Bruins Alumni at Schneider Arena at Providence College in Providence, RI. Tickets are $20 and will benefit the Matt Light Foundation. The Bruins Alumni team will be coached by former Bruin Bill Bennett, with Andrew Raycroft and Graeme Townshend expected in the line-up.


Sunday, March 26, 3 p.m. - The Boston Bruins Alumni will face off against the Bertucci's Dough Boys at Stoneham Arena in Stoneham, MA. Tickets are $20 and will benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Andrew Alberts, Dave Shaw, and Bruce Crowder will join the rest of the alumni team. 



WHAT: Boston Bruins wives and girlfriends will visit the Birthday Wishes' office to help pick out presents and party supplies as well as build and wrap the Birthday Boxes used for the birthday parties. Birthday Wishes serves children living in more than 200 family shelters and transitional living facilities across Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Long Island, New York. Birthday Wishes makes a difference in the lives of homeless children and their families by bringing them the joy of a birthday party.
