Bergeron and the full team roster will have their heads shaved by auction winners to show their support and raise money for the Boston Bruins Foundation and Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. PATRICK’S DAY JERSEY AUCTION: The Boston Bruins Foundation will be auctioning off the players’ iconic St. Patrick’s Day practice jerseys worn on March 17 versus the Buffalo. BRUINS ALUMNI IN THE COMMUNITY: The Boston Bruins Alumni will play the Baystate Financial All Stars in a charity game to benefit The Baystate Foundation on Saturday, March 21st at 12:30 p.m. at the Boch Ice Arena (1105 East St., Dedham, MA). Members of the Bruins Alumni team including the Director of the Boston Bruins Foundation, Bob Sweeney, Reggie Lemelin and Mike Krushelnyski are expected to take the ice. On Sunday, March 22nd the Fisher House Boston Hockey Team featuring the West Point Alumni will take on the Bruins Alumni at the New England Sports Center, 121 Donald Lynch Blvd. Marlborough, MA. Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, Sergeant Ryan Pitts will drop the puck at 1:00pm. Bruins Alumni President, Rick Middleton is expected to be joined on the ice by fellow teammates Tom Songin, Frank Simonetti, and Tim Sweeney to name a few, along with special guest, Frankie Cosolito, from Catholic Memorial. BOSTON BRUINS FOUNDATION 50/50 RAFFLE: During each Boston Bruins home game, the Boston Bruins Foundation conducts the 50/50 raffle presented by Health Services Administrators. Fifty percent of the proceeds go towards the beneficiary hosted by the Bruins Foundation that night, while the other fifty percent of the proceeds go to one lucky winner. The 50/50 program comprises one third of the annual fundraising for the Boston Bruins Foundation. PATRICE’S PALS: As a part of his continuing charitable initiative Patrice’s Pals, Bruins alternate captain Patrice Bergeron invites children from local hospitals and other organizations to experience a Bruins home game from his luxury suite. Children and their families receive goodie bags filled with Bruins memorabilia, a visit from the Bruins Mascot Blades and Bruins Ice Girls, as well as a feature on the Garden HDX. After the game, Patrice’s Pals are escorted to ice level and introduced to Patrice himself who signs autographs and takes pictures with his Pals.
COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAM: For the entirety of the Boston Bruins 2014-15 regular season, Bruins Chief Executive Officer Charlie Jacobs is donating ten balcony tickets to every home game to children from charitable organizations across New England, who are invited to enjoy a Bruins home game from these donated seats.
