BRUINS HOST STREAKING DEVILS ON SUNDAY: The Eastern Conference leading Bruins (100 points) take on the third place Devils (95 points) on Sunday, March 22 at 3:00 pm ET. The B’s are 1-1-1 in three contests with the Devils this season. In their last 10 games, the Devils are 8-2-0 overall. Following this game, the Bruins will not play a game until Saturday, March 28 when they travel to Toronto to face the Maple Leafs.


RARE SATURDAY OFF:
The Bruins do not have a game scheduled for this Saturday, March 21. Except for the All-Star Weekend, this is the first Saturday the team has not had a game since the 08-09 season began on October 9.

BOURQUE, BUCYK, FLAMAN, NEELY AND SCHMIDT TO ANSWER QUESTIONS AT “HISTORY OF THE BOSTON BRUINS” DVD LAUNCH PARTY: During the History of the Bruins DVD Launch Party on Tuesday, March 24, Bruins greats Ray Bourque, John Bucyk, Ferny Flaman, Cam Neely and Milt Schmidt as well as current Bruins captain Zdeno Chara will participate in a Question and Answer session with NESN commentators Andy Brickley and Gord Kluzak.

The entire 2008-2009 Boston Bruins roster, Bruins alumni, coaching staff and management will be celebrating the release of History of the Boston Bruins DVD, which chronicles 85 years of the most memorable Bruins moments, at the Hard Rock Cafe Boston on Tuesday, March 24 from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Hard Rock Cafe, 22-24 Clinton Street, Boston, MA 02109). In addition to meeting the team, the Boston Bruins Foundation will be holding live and silent auctions to benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and the Ellis Memorial & Eldredge House. Fans, 21 plus, are invited to purchase tickets to the DVD launch party at bostonbruins.com.

“RINKSIDE CHATS”: BostonBruins.com’s online interactive feature “Rinkside Chats,” presented by Covidien, have returned with Blake Wheeler, David Krejci, General Manager Peter Chiarelli and Byron Bitz participating in the first chats of the season. The Rinkside Chats will run every other Wednesday from 3-4 p.m. ET for the remainder of the season on BostonBruins.com. The next guest is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25 with the guest to be determined at a later date.

What: MSPCA Day
-The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals-Angell Animal Medical Center (MSPCA-Angell) is a national and international leader in animal protection and veterinary medicine. Founded in 1868, it is the second-oldest humane society in the United States. Representatives from MSPCA-Angell will be in attendance at the Bruins/Devils game on Sunday afternoon.
-Boston Bruins forward Shawn Thornton and his wife Erin are proud supporters of the MSPCA.
-Fans will have the opportunity to win Shawn Thornton doggie baskets including a Thornton autographed t-shirt, a Thornton autographed dog jersey, a Thornton autographed puck and a Boston Bruins dog leash.
-In addition, there will be 7 Bruins decorated and signed ceramic dog bowls up for auction at the Boston Bruins Foundation table.
-The dog bowls were autographed by Patrice Bergeron, Phil Kessel, Milan Lucic, Marc Savard, Tim Thomas and Bruins alumni John Bucyk and Cam Neely

-The Boston Bruins Foundation will host a launch party celebrating the release of “The History of the Boston Bruins” DVD
-The Boston Bruins Foundation will be holding live and silent auctions at the launch party to benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and the Ellis Memorial & Eldredge House. Fans 21 plus are invited to purchase tickets to the DVD launch party at bostonbruins.com Fans can choose between two ticket options: VIP or General Admission. The $250 ($225 for Bruins season ticket holders) VIP ticket guarantees fans early entry in to the party before doors open to the General Admission ticket holders and the opportunity to interact with the players in an intimate setting at 5:30 p.m. The General Admission ticket, which costs $100 ($90 for Bruins sth), provides admittance into the party at 6:30 p.m.
