LUCIC OUT: Bruins forward Milan Lucic suffered a high ankle sprain to his left ankle and will miss approximately four weeks, according to General Manager Peter Chiarelli. Lucic sustained the injury in the third period of Wednesday’s 2-1 shootout win in Minnesota.

HOMECOMING: Fresh off a four game road trip, the Bruins will play five of their next six games at home, beginning with yesterday’s game against the Devils.

WHEELS HOOKS UP WITH TANGUAY AND ZOLAK: Blake Wheeler will now be a weekly guest on the Tanguay and Zolak show on 98.5 The Sports Hub, every Wednesday afternoon at 12:40 p.m. Check out the other B’s players and executives with weekly radio spots in the “On the Airwaves” section below.

SKATE AND SKI: The Bruins will be hosting “Skate and Ski with the Boston Bruins” courtesy of Loon Mountain and 98.5 The Sports Hub beginning Wednesday, December 2.  Skate and Ski ticket packages are available for all December home games and include 2 lower level seats and 2 ski passes to Loon Mountain for $199.00. Fans should enter the Pass Code: LOON when ordering on BostonBruins.com.

AT & T LEGENDS CLASSIC TICKETS ON SALE: Tickets to the AT&T Legends Classic - which will take place at Fenway Park on January 2, 2010 -  went on sale to the general public last Friday at  10am and cost $10, $15, $20 or $25. Tickets can be purchased online at BostonBruins.com, by calling 617-624-BEAR (2327) and in-person at all Ticketmaster outlets or the TD Garden Box Office. Yesterday, during a special pre-sale for Bruins Season Ticket Holders, Cybear members and Red Sox Season Ticket Holders, over 12,000 tickets were sold.

Confirmed players for the Legends Classic include: current Vice President Cam Neely, actor and comedian Denis Leary, actor Tim Robbins, movie director Bobby Farrelly, musician Ken Casey, NHL greats Brian Leetch and Pat LaFontaine and a number of Boston’s most famous alumni including Bob Beers, Andy Brickley, Lyndon Byers, Gary Doak, Ken Hodge, Ken Linseman, Rick Middleton, Terry O’Reilly, Brad Park, Johnny ‘Pie’ McKenzie, Bob Sweeney and Don Sweeney. Legendary Bruins John Bucyk, Milt Schmidt, and Derek Sanderson as well as actor Lenny Clarke will also be participating in the game in an off-ice capacity. A number of other notable alumni, former NHL players, and celebrities have been invited to participate and will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

BRUINS LAUNCH WINTER CLASSIC “TEAM CHALLENGE”: PRESENTED BY SBLI: Boston Bruins Principal Charlie Jacobs announced Wednesday the club launched the "Boston Bruins Youth Hockey Team Challenge" presented by The Savings Bank Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts (SBLI, known in Connecticut as Centrian Life Insurance), an online contest on BostonBruins.com for youth hockey teams throughout New England, where 25 teams will win 20 tickets to the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic at Fenway Park. Mark Recchi played in his 1,515th game on Friday against the Devils, moving past Steve Yzerman into 12th place on the all-time NHL games played list. Brendan Shanahan is in 11th place with 1,524 games while Boston legend John Bucyk is currently tenth having played 1,540 career NHL contests.

WHAT: Skate with the Ice Girls
The Boston Bruins “Skate with the Ice Girls” is heading to the Cronin Skating Arena this Sunday (800 Revere Pkwy, Revere, MA 02151) to skate with Bruins fans. Bruins fans will also have a chance to win Bruins autographed memorabilia and great prizes

WHAT: P.A.S.S. in Partnership with TD Bank
P.A.S.S. (Partnership to Assist Skaters and Shooters) is a 10 clinic series conducted by the Boston Bruins and sponsored by TD Bank.  P.A.S.S. focuses on teaching youth hockey players between the ages of 8 and 12 basic hockey skills. All participants receive a P.A.S.S. jersey and a gift bag filled with an equipment bag tag, water bottle and two tickets to an upcoming Bruins game. TD Bank also presents each hosting youth hockey organization with a $1000 donation.

On Monday, November 30 Boston Bruins Byron Bitz and Matt Hunwick will be visiting the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center to decorate holiday ornaments and spread holiday cheer with pediatric patients currently receiving treatment.

WHAT: US Hockey Hall of Fame Dinner
The Boston Bruins are a proud sponsor of the 37th Annual US Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner. For the first time ever, this event will be held on the East Coast, and will honor some of the greatest names in American hockey. The class of 2009 inductees include: 1998 U.S. Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey Team, Tony Amonte, Tom Barrasso, John LeClair and Frank Zamboni. Tickets for this event are still available and can be purchased through USA Hockey.

“COMMUNITY CAPTAIN” PRESENTED BY THE LOTTERY:
During each Boston Bruins home game, a member of the local community is acknowledged for their contributions as the “Community Captain” of the game. The Community Captain receives four complimentary game tickets to a Bruins home game where they will be recognized on the TD Garden HDX (video scoreboard). They will also receive a Boston Bruins Prize Pack.

November 28: Molly Baldwin
On Saturday, November 28 during the Bruins/Senators game beginning at 7:00 p.m., Molly Baldwin will be recognized in-game as the Boston Bruins Community Captain. Molly is the Founder and Executive Director of the not-for-profit organization called Roca. Molly used the money out of her own pocket to found Roca, which is based in some of Chelsea's toughest neighborhoods. She has dedicated her last 25 years to serving at-risk youth susceptible to poverty, gang violence and drug abuse.

2ND ANNUAL BRUINS HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT: The B’s are returning to the Haverhill Valley Forum to host the second annual “Boston Bruins Holiday Tournament” from Sunday, December 27 through Wednesday, December 30. The event will feature Mite and Squirt squads playing in a minimum of three games over a four-day period. As an added bonus, each team will have the opportunity to win a team set of tickets to the 2010 NHL/Bridgestone Winter Classic between the Bruins and Flyers at Fenway Park on January 1, 2010.

THE BUZZ: NESN’s Naoko Funayama will take you through the latest Bruins news on and off the ice on NESN’s weekly countdown show, The Buzz. This week Funayama will showcase some of the charitable work that the players have been involved in this season as she joins Shawn Thornton and his wife Erin serving meals to homeless veterans and accompanies Johnny Boychuk and Daniel Paille during their recent visit to the Roxbury Boys and Girls club. THE HOCKEY SHOW ON 98.5: Bruins play-by-play man Dave Goucher and color analyst Bob Beers will team up with Sports Hub host Damon Amendolara every Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. for “The Hockey Show”- an hour long program on 98.5 FM devoted to news, notes and phone calls on everything going on with the Bruins and around the NHL.
