BOSTON BRUINS TO PARTICIPATE IN MOVEMBER: The Boston Bruins will participate in the Movember initiative by growing and maintaining moustaches during the month of November in order to raise funds and awareness for men’s health. Fans can get involved by starting their own page at bostonbruins.com/movember.  Throughout the month, prizes will be given away to Bruins Movember participants.  The Bruins will also be hosting Movember Night at TD Garden on Monday, November 24 when Bruins face-off against the Pittsburgh Penguins.  Tickets are available now.

BRUINS ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH BOND AUTO PARTS: The Boston Bruins and Bond Auto Parts have reached a multi-year agreement that recognizes Bond Auto Parts as a partner of the Bruins. Bond Auto Parts is the largest Vermont based auto parts supplier with 44 locations throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York.

BRUINS HALLOWEEN VISIT TO BOSTON CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL: The Boston Bruins will continue their annual tradition with a Halloween visit to Boston Children’s Hospital on Monday, October 27. Bruins players Matt Bartkowski, Matt Fraser, Seth Griffith, Dougie Hamilton, Torey Krug and Kevan Miller will dress up in costumes and go reverse trick-or-treating around the hospital, surprising patients with Bruins goodies. BRUINS TO HOST HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER NIGHT ON 10/28: 
During the Boston Bruins vs. Minnesota Wild game on Tuesday, October 28th, the Bruins will host Hockey Fights Cancer Night at TD Garden. The Bruins will be supporting the cause in a variety of ways and specific information on local pediatric and adult cancer patients involved with Hockey Fights Cancer Night will be released at a later date. Bruins players, management, and coaching staff will be supporting the initiative by wearing special lavender attire, decals on their helmets, and wrapping their sticks with lavender stick tape.  Patrice Bergeron will host pediatric cancer patients through his program, Patrice’s Pals.  Proceeds from the 50/50 will benefit the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care. HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER PURPLE JERSEY AUCTION:  To show their support, the Bruins will be wearing purple warm up jerseys on October 28. The Boston Bruins Foundation will be raffling and auctioning off the team signed, warm-up worn purple jerseys both in game on 10/28 and online following the game. Check the Boston Bruins Foundation website starting on October 29 to place your bid.

FIRST PASS CLINIC PRESENTED BY TD BANK: TD Bank and the Boston Bruins have teamed up for the ninth straight year to support New England youth hockey through the P.A.S.S. (Partnership to Assist Skaters and Shooters) clinic series.   P.A.S.S. features a free on-ice clinic conducted by Bruins alumni and members of the Boston Bruins Youth Hockey Development Team. The clinic includes instruction on hockey fundamentals such as skating, passing and shooting, as well as a $1,000 donation from TD Bank to each hosting youth hockey organization. In addition, each individual participant will receive two tickets to an upcoming Bruins game as well as a TD Bank P.A.S.S. jersey and gift bag. BRUINS TO HOST STREET HOCKEY CLINIC IN CHELSEA (The Bruins partner with Wynn Resorts in Everett to host this activity): The Boston Bruins Street Brigade program will visit the Chelsea Excel After School Program on Thursday, October 30 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Street Brigade brings the sport of hockey to schools, community centers and other places where children can play hockey in a safe and structured environment. Hockey equipment and instructions are provided for children to learn and enjoy hockey free of charge. All equipment is donated to the club for their children to continue playing hockey after the event. For more information please see below in the “Around Town” section of the Week Ahead.

B’S TO HOST ON-ICE CLINIC FOR CAMBRIDGE YOUTH HOCKEY (The Bruins partner with Wynn Resorts in Everett to host this activity): The Boston Bruins will be stopping by a practice of Cambridge Youth Hockey to run drills and provide giveaways for all children involved. Bruins alumni Tommy Songin will run the players through on-ice station based practice sessions focusing on the fundamentals of hockey. SEASON 2 OF BEHIND THE B: Season Two of the Black & Gold’s all-access television series “Behind the B” presented by Alex and Ani has begun, 13 episodes of “Behind the B” are slated to air during the 2014-15 season. All episodes will again be narrated by actor and Worcester, MA native, Denis Leary.

OFFENSIVE STREAKS: Both David Krejci and Chris Kelly enter tomorrow night's game in Toronto riding five-game point streaks. Krejci has 2-5=7 totals during his streak while Kelly has 1-5=6 totals in his span, which matches his previous career-high.

IRONMAN ZEE:
GM Peter Chiarelli announced on Friday that Zdeno Chara will miss approximately 4-6 weeks with a left knee ligament tear suffered Thursday vs. the Islanders. Prior to this injury, Chara had missed just 20 of a possible 631 games since joining the Bruins in July, 2006 with just 11 of those games missed due to injuries.

APPROACHING MILESTONES: Players looking for milestone points this week include Patrice Bergeron (499 career points), Loui Eriksson (399 career points), Simon Gagne (598 career points) and Dennis Seidenberg (198 career points).

218 AND COUNTING: Counting the Bruins’ game vs the Islanders on October 23, the Boston Bruins have sold out 218 straight regular season and playoff games. This sellout streak began more than four years ago on December 5, 2009 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The last game the Bruins did not have 17,565 in attendance at the Garden was on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 when they hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning (16,553).

OFF THE ICE…

PATRICE’S PALS: As a part of his continuing charitable initiative Patrice’s Pals, Bruins alternate captain Patrice Bergeron invites children from local hospitals and other organizations to experience a Bruins home game from his luxury suite. Children and their families receive goodie bags filled with Bruins memorabilia, a visit from the Bruins Mascot Blades and Bruins Ice Girls, as well as a feature on the Garden HDX. After the game, Patrice’s Pals are escorted to ice level and introduced to Patrice himself who signs autographs and takes pictures with his Pals.

COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAM: For the entirety of the Boston Bruins 2014-15 regular season, Bruins Principal and Alternate Governor Charlie Jacobs is donating ten balcony tickets to every home game to children from charitable organizations across New England, who are invited to enjoy a Bruins home game from these donated seats.
