BERGERON HEADING TO THE NHL ALL-STAR GAME:
On January 10, the NHL announced that forward Patrice Bergeron was named to the 2015 NHL All-Star team, marking his first selection to the roster in his 10-year NHL career. The Columbus Blue Jackets and city of Columbus will host the 2015 NHL All-Star festivities from January 24 to 25, marking a first for the city and Club. The 2015 NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft will take place on January 23 and will be televised on the NBC Sports Network. The League’s midseason showcase will include the Honda NHL All-Star Skills Competition™ on Saturday, January 24 (7:00 p.m. ET, NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports) and the Honda NHL All-Star Game® on Sunday, January 25 (5:00 p.m. ET, NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports).

BOSTON BRUINS TO VISIT PARLIN MEMORIAL LIBRARY: On Tuesday, January 27th, the Boston Bruins will be hosting a kick-off event for the 8th Annual Bruins PJ Drive at the Parlin Memorial Library in Everett, MA.  A member of the current Bruins roster will read a story to children and participate in a craft activity.  The Bruins PJ Drive collects new, unused pajamas and funds for Cradles to Crayons to benefit children in need across Massachusetts.  For more information, visit the “Around Town” section of the Week Ahead.

BRUINS INVITE UNDER-RESOURCED CHILDREN TO PLAY LASER TAG:
On Tuesday, January 27th, two Bruins players will invite under-resourced children to play laser tag at Laser Quest in West Roxbury.  The players will join the children in laser tag team building activities.  For more information, visit the “Around Town” section of the Week Ahead.

BRUINS ALUMNI TO SKATE IN ROCKLAND, MA: On Saturday, January 24 at 3:00 p.m., Bruins legends Ray Bourque, Rick Middleton and Terry O’Reilly are expected to hit the ice at Rockland Ice Rink (599 Summer Street, Rockland, MA) when the Bruins Alumni take on the Ice Huggers to benefit the HUG Foundation.  For more information please see the “Around Town” section of the Week Ahead.

SEASON 2 OF BEHIND THE B: Season Two of the Black & Gold’s all-access television series “Behind the B” presented by Alex and Ani has begun, with 13 episodes slated to air during the 2014-15 season. All episodes will again be narrated by actor and Worcester, MA native, Denis Leary.

BOSTON BRUINS FOUNDATION 50/50 RAFFLE: 
During each Boston Bruins home game, the Boston Bruins Foundation conducts the 50/50 raffle presented by Health Services Administrators. Fifty percent of the proceeds go towards the beneficiary hosted by the Bruins Foundation that night, while the other fifty percent of the proceeds go to one lucky winner. The 50/50 program comprises one third of the annual fundraising for the Boston Bruins Foundation. After the winning ticket is selected, the number will be announced in-game giving the winner the opportunity to claim their prize at Guest Services on the Loge Level, Section 4 or by checking the numbers posted on the Bruins Foundation Website within 30 days of the winning game, which can be found at the following link: http://bruins.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=101168.

BRUINS ON THE AIRWAVES:
Bruins defenseman Torey Krug has been confirmed as a weekly call-in guest with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Andy Gresh and Scott Zolak (Gresh and Zo), which airs weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while forward Reilly Smith is expected to be regular a guest with 98.5's Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb (Toucher and Rich), which airs weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Bruins President Cam Neely will also be a guest with Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti  (Felger and Mazz) on their show, which airs weekdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Chris Kelly will be a regular guest on 100.7 WZLX with Kevin Karlson and Pete McKenzie (Karlson & McKenzie), which airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Call-in days and times are dependent upon the B’s schedule.

OFF THE ICE…

PATRICE’S PALS:
As a part of his continuing charitable initiative Patrice’s Pals, Bruins alternate captain Patrice Bergeron invites children from local hospitals and other organizations to experience a Bruins home game from his luxury suite. Children and their families receive goodie bags filled with Bruins memorabilia, a visit from the Bruins Mascot Blades and Bruins Ice Girls, as well as a feature on the Garden HDX. After the game, Patrice’s Pals are escorted to ice level and introduced to Patrice himself who signs autographs and takes pictures with his Pals.

COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAM: For the entirety of the Boston Bruins 2014-15 regular season, Bruins Chief Executive Officer Charlie Jacobs is donating ten balcony tickets to every home game to children from charitable organizations across New England, who are invited to enjoy a Bruins home game from these donated seats.

MILESTONE: On January 21 vs. the Avs, David Krejci notched his 400th NHL and Bruins point (116 goals and 284 assists) in his 532nd career game. He currently ranks 25th on the Bruins all-time leading scorers list behind Fred Stanfield (409).

STRONG JANUARY:
The Bruins have taken points out of 11 of their last 12 games at 7-1-4 going into the All-Star Break.

TEACH ME HOW TO DOUGIE: Dougie Hamilton recorded a goal and an assist on Tuesday night vs. Dallas, which set new career season-highs in both goals (eight) and points (26). Hamilton also engaged in his first NHL fight on Wednesday night in Denver in a bout with Colorado Avalanche Captain Gabriel Landeskog.

239 AND COUNTING: Following Saturday’s home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Boston Bruins have sold out 239 straight regular season and playoff games. This sellout streak began more than five years ago on December 5, 2009 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The last game the Bruins did not have 17,565 in attendance at the Garden was on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 when they hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning (16,553).
