by Staff Writer / Boston Bruins
BOSTON, MA – The Boston Bruins will show their appreciation for the men and women who serve as First Responders and their families during their inaugural First Responder Night on Monday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. during the Bruins vs. Columbus Blue Jackets game at TD Garden.

The First Responders and families in attendance will be honored throughout the game with a photo montage on the Garden HDX, Zamboni rides, high-fiving Bruins players before they take the ice and more. The National Anthem will be performed by the Boston Fire Department Acappella Quartet. Sergeant Richard “Dic” Donohue, who was wounded on-duty in April 2013 while pursuing the Boston Marathon bombing suspects, will perform the dropping of the ceremonial first puck. Other local first responders who were nominated for their outstanding service will be honored throughout the evening including Boston EMT Nashira Williams, Arlington PD Officer Mike Hogan, MA State Trooper Al Balestra, MA State Trooper Philip Kucha, Cataldo EMT Ben Foley, Stoneham PD Officer Sheryl Rotondi, Boston EMT Chris Baril and members of the Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation. Proceeds from the 50/50 Raffle will also benefit the Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation.

Ticket donations are now being accepted to give local First Responders and their families a chance to attend the game. You can also submit a photo of First Responders showing off their Bruins pride for their chance to be shown in-game on February 22.
