The Boston Bruins selected forward Jakub Lauko with the 77th pick (third round) on Saturday afternoon at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft in Dallas.
"I'm really excited. I'm really happy," said Lauko, who attended the Draft. "It's hard to describe the feelings. It's one of the best days of my life to be drafted by this good organization, this great organization, and I really appreciate it. I'm so thankful to the organization that draft me."

The Czech native was excited about his fellow countrymen in the Bruins organization.
"It's really nice that there are the Czech guys," said Lauko. "Even the younger guys. I know [Bruins 2017 7th round pick] Daniel Bukac a lot. We played when we were young, when we were eight years old, so it's nice to meet him in Boston. It's pretty nice, and we have the agent with David Pastrnak."
Lauko believes his speed will prove valuable for the organization.
"My speed my biggest strength," said Lauko. "I think I'm one of the fastest players in this draft. I want to use my speed to help Boston."
