BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, February 27, that the team has recalled forwards Peter Cehlarik and Karson Kuhlman from Providence on an emergency basis.

Cehlarik has skated in 14 games with Boston this season, tallying four goals and two assists for six points. He also ranks second on the team in scoring in Providence this season with 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points in 37 games.
He appeared in six games with Boston in 2017-18, tallying his first career NHL goal on November 18, 2017 at San Jose. The 23-year-old forward also recorded 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points in 35 games with Providence. In 30 career NHL games with Boston, Cehlarik has posted five goals and five assists for 10 points, while adding 41 goals and 49 assists for 90 points in 121 career AHL games with Providence.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Zilina, Slovakia native was originally selected by Boston in the third round (90th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Kuhlman is in his first professional season with the Bruins organization since being signed by the team to a two-year contract on April 10, 2018. He made his NHL debut against the Los Angeles Kings on February 16 and scored his first career NHL goal against San Jose on February 18. He also has 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points with a plus-22 rating in 50 games with Providence this year.
Kuhlman served as captain of Minnesota-Duluth as a senior in 2017-18, tallying 13 goals and seven assists for 20 points in 44 games. The 23-year-old center was named the 2018 NCAA Tournament MVP after leading the Bulldogs with a goal and an assist in the team's 2-1 victory over Notre Dame in the NCAA Championship. Kuhlman served as alternate captain as a junior in 2016-17, notching six goals and 16 assists for a career-high 22 points in 42 games, as the Bulldogs advanced to the Frozen Four before falling to Denver in the NCAA title game. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound forward was named alternate captain as a sophomore in 2015-16, recording 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points with a career-best plus-19 rating. As a true freshman in 2014-15, Kuhlman tallied eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points as the team earned a bid in the NCAA Tournament. The Cloquet, Minnesota native is tied for seventh in NCAA history with 166 consecutive games played.
