BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, December 11, that the club has recalled forward Craig Cunningham from the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League). Cunningham will join the team for morning skate on Thursday and be eligible for the Bruins game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night.
Cunningham has skated in three NHL games with Boston this season and five career games, making his NHL debut against the Calgary Flames on December 17, 2013.
Cunningham has skated in 21 games for Providence this season, notching five goals and 10 assists for 15 points, which ranks third on the team. The 24-year-old winger has skated in a total of 247 games with Providence from 2011-2014, picking up 75 goals and 69 assists for 144 points.
The 5’9'', 175-pound native of Trail, BC was drafted by the Bruins in the fourth round (97th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
