Bruins & Mass Lottery to Host Season's 1st On-Ice Challenge

BOSTON, MA – On Thursday, February 2 the Boston Bruins and Massachusetts State Lottery will hold the first “Mass Lottery On-Ice Challenge” for the 2011 Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Champions Instant Ticket. One lucky contestant will win up to $250,000 in the Challenge, which will take place during the second intermission of the Bruins/Hurricanes game.
Robert Giglio of Dorchester, MA will choose from one of 30 oversized Mass. State Lottery instant tickets, which will be placed on the ice. Each ticket will be numbered 1-30, beneath 29 of the tickets will be $100,000 prizes and under one will be a $250,000 grand prize. Lottery Executive Director Paul Sternburg will join Giglio on the ice to present him with his prize check.
Giglio was randomly selected through the Lottery’s Second Chance Bonus Drawing sweepstakes to take part in the Challenge. The drawing, which took place on December 16, was the first of five opportunities for fans to take part in an On Ice Challenge and win up to $250,000. To enter the Second Chance Bonus Drawing, players can mail in one non-winning 2011 Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Champions Instant Ticket or follow the online entry instructions on masslottery.com.
The $5 2011 Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Champions Instant Ticket is available at Lottery retailers across Massachusetts.
