Bruins Issue Update on Adam McQuaid

Defenseman expected to miss approximately eight weeks

BOSTON -Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney issued the following update on defenseman Adam McQuaid:

Adam sustained a broken right fibula on Thursday against the Vancouver Canucks and is scheduled to have surgery on Monday, October 23, which will be performed by Dr. Theodore (MGH). He is expected to miss approximately eight weeks.
