“I think this group is feeling pretty good about ourselves,” said B’s forward Gregory Campbell
. “It was a short break, we had a good game on Thursday and I think we’re looking forward to this challenge.”
The Bruins will be on the road for the better part of the next two weeks and won’t see the TD Garden and a home crowd until January 6th when they face the Minnesota Wild.
“Five road games, all winnable games if we play hard and play our game,” Campbell said after practice on Sunday before the team boarded their flight to Florida. “At the end of this trip we could be looking back on it saying that really kick started the second half.”
Boston looks to build on some positive momentum following their impressive 4-1 win over Atlanta last Thursday.
“Well I think we played with a lot of emotion,” Campbell said. “We stuck up for one another and we got contributions from everybody and we wanted it.”
The Black & Gold will face Atlanta again this coming Thursday.
“They’re a good measuring stick because they’ve been playing really well also," added Campbell. “I think we have it in this group and you know it’s good to see that emotion, that energy from the team." ---Hannah Becker
