Bruins assign Tenkrat to Providence/AHL

The Boston Bruins have assigned right wing Petr Tenkrat to their American Hockey League affiliate in Providence, it was announced today by Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli. The assignment leaves the Bruins with 22 players on their active roster.

Tenkrat, 29, is in his first season in the Bruins organization. The 5’11, 200 lb. native of Kladno, Czech Republic has previously played in the NHL with Anaheim and Nashville from 2000-2002 and returned to North America this season after playing the previous four seasons in Finland and Russia.

Tenkrat did not dress for the Bruins’ first two games of the season. He had one goal with six penalty minutes in five pre-season games.
