BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, January 21, that the team has assigned defenseman Steven Kampfer and recalled defenseman Jeremy Lauzon from Providence.

Kampfer, 31, has skated in 10 games with Boston, tallying two assists, and has also produced four assists in six games with Providence this season. The 5-foot-11, 198-pound blueliner has skated in 211 career NHL games, compiling 13 goals and 21 assists for 34 points with 106 penalty minutes.
Lauzon, 22, made his season debut for Boston at New Jersey on December 31. He has tallied one goal and 12 assists for 13 points with a plus-18 rating in 43 games with Providence this year. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound defenseman was originally selected by Boston in the second round (52nd overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
