BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, January 1, that the team has assigned forward Peter Cehlarik to Providence.
Cehlarik, 22, has missed the last 16 games due to a lower body injury suffered in the team's game vs. Pittsburgh on November 24. He has one goal and one assist for two points in five games with Boston this season. He has three goals and three assists for six points in six games with Providence.
The 6-foot-2, 202-pound Zilina, Slovakia native was originally selected by Boston in the third round (90th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
