BOSTON, MA -- Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, January 1, that the club has assigned Matt Lindblad and Zach Trotman to Providence.
Lindblad has skated in two games for Boston this season. In total, the forward has appeared in three career games for Boston, making his NHL debut on March 15, 2014 against the Carolina Hurricanes.
In 29 games for Providence this season, the forward has registered six goals and six assists with a plus-five rating. From 2012-14, the 24-year-old forward has appeared in 88 games for Providence, accruing 15 goals and 26 assists with a combined plus-four rating. In 12 postseason games for the P-Bruins in 2013-14, Lindblad posted three goals and four assists for seven points.
The 6’0’’, 185-pound Winnetka, IL native was signed by Boston as a free agent on April 5, 2013.
Trotman has skated in 17 games for Boston this season, picking up four assists. In total, Trotman has now appeared in 19 games with the Bruins.
The 24-year-old defenseman has skated in eight games for Providence this season, tallying two assists. Trotman has competed in a total of 110 games at the AHL level with Providence (2011-14), racking up 11 goals and 34 assists.
The 6’3'', 219-pound native of Noblesville, Indiana was drafted by the Bruins in the seventh round (210th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
