BOSTON - The Boston Bruins announced today, July 24, that the team will again participate in the 2019 Prospects Challenge from September 6-9 at HarborCenter in Buffalo (100 Washington St., Buffalo, NY 14203). This marks the fifth consecutive year the Bruins have participated in the challenge. The Bruins defeated Pittsburgh (4-2) and Buffalo (3-1) and fell to New Jersey (6-2) in last year's Prospects Challenge. Current Bruins prospects who participated in last year's tournament and also played in at least one regular season game with Boston in 2018-19 include forwards Anders Bjork, Trent Frederic, Karson Kuhlman, Zach Senyshyn and defensemen Connor Clifton, Jeremy Lauzon, Urho Vaakanainen and Jakub Zboril.

The Bruins' rookies will compete against the Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins and New Jersey Devils' rookies in the round-robin challenge featuring prospects from each team. The participating teams will each play three games during the course of the event, which is being held entirely at HarborCenter. Media availability for the Bruins prospects and staff will take place after the respective practice or game.
The full participating roster for the Bruins will be announced at a later date.
Tickets are $10 and will be available at the Sabres Box Office at the KeyBank Center, online at Sabres.com, or by calling 1-(888)-223-6000. Credential requests can be directed to Sabres PR. Boston media planning on covering the Prospects Challenge should contact Travis Basciotta ([email protected]) with any questions.
