Bruins Acquire 2008 Draft Pick in Exchange for Jurcina

BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has acquired a fourth round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft from the Washington Capitals in exchange for defenseman Milan Jurcina.

Jurcina, 23, was selected by Boston in the eighth round (241st overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut last season and saw action in 51 games, scoring six goals and tallying five assists. This season, Jurcina has played in 40 games, registering two goals and one assist.

The Bruins return to the TD Banknorth Garden tonight when they host the Sabres in the second half of the home-and-home series at 7:00 p.m. ET. Tonight, like every Thursday night, is a Student Night. All high school and college students are eligible for one half-price ticket in the $45.50 and $55.00 price range with a valid student ID.
