WALMART COMMUNITY PLAYMAKER: Two years ago, Lynda Hosea lost her husband Carl to cancer. There are countless stories about Carl and all the good he did for his family, friends and people he didn't even know. In his honor, after his passing, Lynda started the Carl E. Hosea, Jr. Helping Hands Foundation to continue Carl's legacy of always putting others before himself by helping individuals and families in the community with anything they may be struggling with. Since the inception of the Foundation, Lynda has provided assistance to families struggling with difficult diagnoses to defray costs of parking, meals, or any other needs the families may have; she's made donations to support the local chapter of the Wounded Warrior Project, sponsored the Dot Pot Annual Street Hockey Tournament, and purchased turkeys, pies and cases of vegetables for the St. Augustine/St Monica's Annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner.

For all the work Lynda and the Carl E. Hosea, Jr. Helping Hands Foundation has done, the Bruins and Walmart thank her for being a Community Playmaker! If you know someone in your community who is dedicated to improving the lives of others and being a force of good, nominate them for their chance to become a Walmart Community Playmaker and get honored at an upcoming Bruins game by visit BostonBruins.com/CommunityPlaymaker.
